Anyone else getting weird 'directional yanks' on controller, specifically PS5?

Since coming back to the game for this chapter i keep getting 'directional yanks' while using a controller. Sometimes it forces me to look up or completely 180's me. I've used two different controller's and they both do the same thing more or less. Figuring it might've been my controller's i booted up For Honor and i don't get it there, though it's not a game that fully relies on directional movement input.

So while i post this, i will try another game and see what happens but figured i'd ask if anyone else was experiencing this.

Edit: I don't get it in my other games.

I've been getting this on my XBox controller a lot recently, I thought it was just my controller being janky, but seeing as other people are having some odd jank issues, I'm wondering if it's some kind of bug within Dead by Daylight. :-/

Try resetting your controller. One of mine was doing similar yet my hubby had no issues with it on Fortnight funnily enough. Resetting it worked (for now)

Happened alot to me. Thought it was my controller or pc program. Seemed to resolve itself.

Was really bad a month ago.

I wanna get the Nacon Rev. Why buy an Xbox controller when Sony has TouchPad and Dualsense? You can't play Ratchet and Clack without it.

Ps5 controllers are horrible with stick drift, honestly. Some games I'm fine. Others have me walking sideways.

Seriously? I'm literally planning on buying a PS5 just for this game once cross progression becomes available to get off Nintendo Switch. Please tell me you're exaggerating, please 🙏

Unfortunately it's true. The analog sticks are notoriously bad. If you do get a ps5 do yourself a favor and get a warranty on every controller you buy. Someone on the forums suggested the Dualsense edge as an alternative as it has replaceable analog sticks but the thing is like 200 dollars.

I haven't noticed this but Wesker has had a bug since release where you completely lose the ability to control your character (with a controller) when you break free from him slamming you.

He basically gets a free second hit on you because you can't even run in a straight line without fighting the controller.
