Gen Completion in games
anyone else noticed how much faster gens are being completed in games now?

weird. i've had other people comment on how much quicker gens are being finished but i was wondering if this was something everyone was experiencing

Not really.
If anything, gens in my killer games go slower than they did earlier on in my DBD career.

If you ever think gens are flying too fast, just play a few games of soloQ, and you will see that gens don't even get done there.

i play killer so do u think i've just been getting unlucky and getting a swarm of swf lobbies? i suppose it is a lot better in some games than others.

That is a possibility, but you are not unlucky, that's just how matchmaking works. The target killrate is 60%, so killers by design win more often than they lose. So if you play long enough as killer, your MMR is doomed to hit the soft cap, where on the survivor side all the SWFs are concentrated. Once again, try playing a hundred of soloQ games and see for yourself, I personally almost never see in my soloQ games things that usually happen in my killer games, as if these two queues lead to separate games.

I always wondered what would happen if they got rid of solo q and made everyone be on comms 100% of the time? I think after a week or 2 the kill rate on average would drop by 15-20%, or at least a 10% difference in kill rate. I wish they would try this in a modifier 1 day. I don't think it would ever be mainstream but if they make it mainstream I feel like balancing the game would be MUCH easier.
God knows they would never do this though.

If you want to kill well over half of your playerbase overnight, sure.

Yup. I will not be playing any version of DBD that has in game coms. I don’t need to experience how disgustingly bigoted so much of the playerbase, and gaming is, in general. That’s why I don’t play COD or other games with voice chat.

It's usually not a comms issue in solo queue. It's just a case of players not being very efficient and not having good game sense. If anything, comms might exacerbate things. You'd have half the community trying to explain why you shouldn't double gens in a 3v1 and the other half doing it anyway to try and prove a point.

If you played sweaty killer matches then you get thrown up with the skilled SWFs so that’s on you.
