As solo queue survivor, this event has completely burned me out from the game.

The instant hooks, the free enduring, exposed, speed bursts, lopsidede BP earnings, remote pallet break......just all these things make it almost impossible to complete even just 3 gens, let alone all 5.

It's bad when even SWFs are saying they are finding it extremely hard to complete all the gens in a match.

I was really looking forward to the event and want to complete the challenges and earn the rewards, which is why I haven't switched back to normal.

But this whole thing is just so unbelievably lopsided, and if there was ever a perfect example to prove BHVR doesn't care about their players who play the survivor role, this is it.

The fact that this went through into final production without considering the obvious unballance, and how community managers/devs have just completely ignored all the complaints, worries me that this is the type of gameplay the devs are working towards now and in the future.

Makes me wonder if I should even bother investing myself in this game anymore.

It's only unbalanced against soloQ, SWFs as always have a huge chance to win. Today SWFs won against me one time, and one time they were able to complete all gens with one of them escaping through the gates. So the mode is balanced on the average, it's just not fair for soloQ.

Of course SWFs will complain, because they are a biased side and they want the game to be as much in their favor as possible. I played this event as both survivor and killer, and I can say survivor role there is no weaker than in the regular mode, it's just the soloQ that has to suffer.

Just out of curiousity: how many matches did you play today?

About 10 or 15. But not all of them were against SWFs, of course.

Have you tried using Quiet Mode and disappearing mid chase? All it takes is a decent amount of LoS blockers. I've escaped so many more chases with these event abilities.

SWF are much more likely to go for flashy saves and sabo plays as well, both of which are much more difficult in the event mode.

I agree that soloQ has a rough time. I switched to killer after getting 5 sweatlords back to back, while the most gens we did was 1 with my other teammates (who also were very decent, it was not that. Killers just sweat A LOT during the event). I'm not buring any BP offerings as survivor this event anymore.

When I switched to killer, my games were much better. I let everyone live with 8 hooks. We all got away with a lot of points. I hope I'm a small shining light for other people during this event, going for 8 hooks and farm a bit so everyone can get a lot of points.

the remote pallet breaking and the instant hooking(with the game breaking bug included) ruined this event for me not going to lie. The 2 second stun from pallets is not good, unless you pallet save with them(if you dont bug out)

Yeah, for me this event has been the best to date. As long as I can at least make points, I'm happy but I wasn't escaping as solo before the event either. Like...ever. It takes swf to compete with ardent tunnel monsters. The events bring out the tunnel monsters as obviously there is no greater joy than wrecking any fun to be had in an event. For me, as opposed to 50%% of the time, it is now near 100%. Tunneling is defined as the killer returning to the hook.

I'd rather it be like this than having the game balanced around solo play any day. When swf was king as killer, it was so bad for killer.

I am tracking our games during event and we have over 60% escape rate…

x2 it's miserable to play as survivor in this event.

It's because nobody who plays solo knows what they're doing. You can't balance around this. It's bad enough to have people who lack game knowledge and experience, but these teammates are doing the worst plays you can possibly do. No wonder the kill rates are so inflated! The whole survivor playerbase is a bunch of self-sabateurs!

It's a matchmaking issue, not a balance issue. I probably average about 3 game-saving plays a game, and the gens never get done.

It sucks that I make damn near no BP as a survivor. The killer kills everyone at 5 gens and earns 40k+, and the survivors in those matches die with between 2k to 8k BP. Why queue up for that as a survivor? That's a waste of time and energy and I already felt burned out after just a few matches of that on the first day.

The event is vicious and unrewarding instead of casual and fun.

I would say when my team mates aren't insta giving up most matches 2-3 people have escaped.
