Can we limit Bubba's ability to camp for free kills.
The moment he downs you it's game over if he decides to face-camp you, why I'm I guaranteed to die all because he can stand still and insta-down anyone for free who decides to save, it should not be that free for him, nobody can do anything unless if they are willing to trade hook, sometimes even both of us go down due to his chainsaw. He needs some form of change, his power doesn't need nerfs, just his ability to camp to the point it's no longer impossible to save without getting insta-downed.
(This was in endgame, I get that killers guard for the kill during that period, but it shouldn't be a guaranteed death, we should have some form of chance of unhooking).

I thought face camping Bubbas were extinct lol wonder if he's a returning player for the event and doesn't know about anti camp lol

This was during endgame when the camp meter was gone. I see Bubbas a lot they tend to camp when the final gen is done.
2 -
Ahh that explains it. Bugger

no

You say no, but provide zero reasoning on why you think that way.

why I'm I guaranteed to die all because he can stand still and insta-down anyone for free who decides to save
Why do you want a guaranteed escape?
6 -
That's not even my reasoning for making this post. I never stated that I wanted a guaranteed escape, I only want it to be more fair when it comes down to Bubba's camping abilities, because he can chainsaw anyone who comes for the save, making it impossible for anyone to get away at points, the survivors should have some form of chance, even if it involves trading, not both of us getting insta-downed because he decided to camp.

Why do you want a guaranteed kill?

I'm all for reducing the power of Bubbas facecamp. But the devs tried that and players just found a way to circumvent it. So I honestly don't know how it could be fixed.
I do not envy the devs that will work on the change 2 years from now lol

I mean, run Iri Flesh with it and you can get a lot of value from it that cannot be underestimated.

There are many things at the moment that the devs should focus on rather then Bubba, even if it's a future change, I hope they do something. He's been out for years now, I think it's silly that he can still do this.

And what is he expected to do ? Hook you then go on the gates to watch people leave while someone unhooks you and you exit through the other gate ?
Gens are done, there are no objective left to defend for the killer exept securing kills. That's a totally normal and expected behaviour.
2 -
I totally understand that, but my point is that the survivors should have a fair chance of getting a trade, but it's rather difficult because Bubba can quickly down both survivors, I feel that it shouldn't be a guaranteed death once Bubba camps someone during endgame.

Thats the way it is, some killer have strong defensive abilities, some dont. Ofc its easier to unhook in the face of freddy than bubba
Just deal with it and move on. Unhooking during EGC shouldnt be an easy mecanic. Its already free when you swarm a m1 killer, don't complain about the one you can't.
1 -
Thats not a bubba only thing…
Many killers can do someting like that. Myers can do even worse with tombstone…
2 -
I don't mind killers having strong defense, but when most of the time it's a death sentence, then it's an issue to me.
You say deal with it, I'm allowed to speak on what me, and many other people believe. His current state of being able to face camp is ridiculous, he already got multiple buffs prior which makes him a solid killer overall in chase, why does he still need to be an absolute monster when it comes to camping?
Unhooking shouldn't be easy, yes I do agree with you on that, but to the point that saving is no longer even an option, I then believe that there needs to be a change. Let's compare killers like Artist, Dredge, or Xenomorph, killers that have restrictions near hooks, while Bubba doesn't. I'm not saying completely disable his chainsaw, but add some penalties to it if he stays near the hook.
Swarming a hook will result in trades anyways.

I’m rank not sure why the most obnoxious campers in the game got such insane buffs with no one complaining about it. I think they did it to stop Bubbas from tunneling and camping but it has only made them much better at it.
Haven’t ran into a single bubba who hasn’t tunneled or camped ever since his update. The tantrum being reduced to a weapon wipe is insane on a hyper mobile insta down killer, even more so with his insane and unneeded colission reduction.
2 -
I personally don't mind his changes, but I wish they added some camping penalties to his chainsaw, his ability to camp in his current state problematic while being a good chase killer, as well.
2 -
Bubba is still a pretty weak killer, its only a noob stomper
What restriction does xeno or dredge has when it comes to camping hook on EGC ? I'm curious
Unhooking results in trade only if you don't know how to do it. If 2 or 3 people comes in for the save, there is not really much you can do to prevent them from all getting out if they know what they are doing. If you always end up trading, you should watch some videos to see how it is done.
Bubba, like billy, like plague, like vecna, like myers, like trickster is a killer that makes unhooking pretty hard. That's one of their strength, why would you nerf that

He is not weak, his buffs made his tantrums last extremely short durations, and his sweeps got his Chili add-ons basekit. His collision was also buffed in his favor, he is not weak like he was before, I've played him quite a bit and he feels very nice to play in general now.
Artist can't place crows near hooked survivors, if Xenomorph exits a tunnel near a hooked survivor the speed of which he exits is very slow, and Dredge can't teleport to lockers near hooked survivors.
I hit the survivors who are coming for the save early, then if the other survivors are still trying to unhook, I'll target one of them and get them hooked. That's normally how I'm doing it as killer, I main Spirit/Chucky.
I'm not saying obliterate his ability to camp, I'm simply saying add some middle ground in which the survivors can have a chance of trading rather then two or more survivors going down from the chainsaw. For an example the unhooker gets the save, Bubba downs both of them, now he got two kills.

So nothing stops xeno or dredge from camping hook, you wont ever go in a tunnel or a locker during egc to camp a hook
Bubba is weak against peopel that actually know what they are doing, the buff helps him, but he is still in the low tier category
When 3 survivors swarm you for the unhook, the most plausible scenario is :
- They all come together, waiting for you to hit (someone will try to unhook, forcing you to m1)
- Once you m1 someone, he'll run as fast as possible to the gate
- During your recovery time, another gets the save, you hit them > recover > thy make distance
- The 3rd one will body block you to prevent the down
Thats what actually happens when they know how to do it. Sure with spirit/nurse/blight you can manage to catch up and eventually maybe get another one. Then they reset and now the hooked person is closer to the gate, meaning you wont be able to do it again when tgey come for the save.
I'll say it once again : there are absolutely NO REASON for survivor to get free unhook possibility
Bubba deletes the possibility. Just leave then, someone is dead but you still won the game.0 -
You do have some chance of escaping, a small one, but still a chance. The game doesn't teleport Leatherface to a nearest survivor, and instadowns them for him in endgame, so first try not getting caught in endgame. If caught, either your teammates are smart and open gates and leave, or take a very small chance they'll be able to unhook and leave alive.

In my opinion Bubba as well as Hillbilly need a build-in Antifacecamp-mechanic like Artist, Singularity, and Dredge already have. These killers cannot use their power near the hook and when they use their power and move forward to the hook, the power stops and they get stunned if they come in within a certain radius or something like this.
From the survivor and killer pov an endgame hook can be still interesting because the save is much more difficult and it feels cool as the survivor when you play together to save your teammate. However, Bubba and Billy take this away because it is impossible to get a save without a trade.

It’s okay to lose a video game sometimes.

If you want to add Anti Camp Nerf for Bubba - first he need a very big buff to his Power - not the thing they added in 8.0.0 Patch - like really huge buffs or reworks.
To be fair Hillbilly is better at camping than Bubba. With Overdrive 99% you can't even trade while not in End Game.

what about hillbilly?
