Nearly game breaking bug interaction with remote hooking and flashlight saves

I recently played a match on PC in which I remotely hooked a survivor whilst also being blinded. The included video shows the effects of this bug and me nearly DCing to try and end the game (game did not immediately end after end game collapse)
This has been the only time I have encountered this bug.

    I have no knowledge on the code base, but I assume that there is a variable that holds the player ID of the survivor being carried. This variable does not clear to a "not carrying" value, most likely because it is assumed it will update upon the next survivor getting picked up, and there are other variables that are more important in determining if a player is able to move/perform actions/play specific animations/etc. I assume that due to lag or a desync between the killer player and the server, the flashlight blind is successful from the server side from the blinding survivor; however, the killer was able to remote hook on their end before the "survivor carry ID" variable was updated. The server, using the survivor ID of the last person actually carried, teleports them instead.

    In SlushieTTV's Ormond game, she wasn't even the player to achieve the flashlight save, but she was the last player to be carried and hooked. She was face camped from first hook state to second hook state by the leatherface. When the Mikaela flashlight blinded the leatherface, the game had Slushie's player ID as the last survivor carried, and teleported her instead of the player actually being picked up.

    Again, this is just my personal theory, but I hope it can be helpful tracking down the bug.

    Happened again, survivor side this time, and I wasn't even blinding or stunning.

    If you were the last one carried before the stun, this would all but confirm my theory. That, or the game decides to hook the first survivor in the survivor list.

    Just had this happen twice, it happens consistently when you spam remote hook and the person on your shoulder gets saved by any means. I had it happen with a flashlight save and a pallet save, so I would assume any way to save triggers it.

    Just had it happen to me. Was about to report it when I saw the thread. Was just hoping the survivors knew I wasn't hacking or anything.

    It let the game end about a minute after EGC timer ended...

    This can also happen with pallet saves as of 22/06/2024.
    Used pallet was a normal pallet.
    Killer was spirit.
    Game was able to end with me finding hatch and the end game timer running out, however it took substantially longer for the survivor on my shoulders to be sacrificed and there was no animation. leaving screeshots and logs.
