Other killers should get "the Mark of Negation" that Vecna has
If you don't know according to Mathew Cote the symbol on the back of Vecna is "the Mark of Negation" apparently It's placed there by the Entity to nerf the more powerful killers in the realm.
Personally the killers that come to mind for me are Sadako and Freddy, you can tell both are definitely nerfed especially Freddy I mean this man Is meant the be a dream demon, able to do anything to anyone asleep. Now all he can do is place some puddles and do a limited teleport, Freddy is getting nerfed heavily.
But the mark thing would most likely have to be accepted by the license holders and seeing how the holders for Freddy only gave Bhvr the bare minimum when it came to the license I don't see them allowing it.
However for Sadako I do see the possibility of the mark getting added.

Vecna is a Demigod status in D&D and his lore in DBD is him defying the Entity trying to grab him until he consents to join. Hence why the Mark of Negation, because without it Vecna could just leave the entity's realm whenever he felt like it.
Freddy and Sadako while powerful don't have any indication they need the mark to keep them in line.

Without being nerfed Freddy could literally do anything in his dream world I would consider him being limited to placing puddles a big nerf (Also I just want Freddy to have something new even a little mark :( )

Oh that makes sense. Freddy and Sadako are weakened but even at full power they probably couldn’t escape.
So then Alan Wake is probably the only other character who should have the mark.

The killers the entity captures have their abilities adjusted (weakened or strengthened) when put into trials. However, Freddy being weakened for the entertainment of the entity is different from Vecna being a threat who could break out of the realm at any given time. Especially since Vecna's motivation to willingly come to the realm is to gain control over the entity's power.
Freddy doesn't need a mark, because Freddy is no threat to the entity.

Eh well I'd still love to see the mark on Freddy regardless, even if it probably won't happen

When you put it like that, a lot of the Killers seem far less threatening when you call them by their actual names.
E.g. Wraith would be horrifying in real life… until you learn that their name is actually just Phillip.

No because the mark is meant for ultra powerful killers only and neither Freddy nor Sadako need one, as not only do they not come close to fitting that that description, but they also don't even come remotely close to Vecna's power level.

Ok what about Pinhead then? For one he's only in the realm in the first place because someone opened his box and apparently Pinhead can move objects with his mind, and bend reality to his will, Pinhead is described as an extremely powerful being.

Except because Pinhead is below Leviathan, he's also going to be below The Entity, also Pinhead and every other cenobite have their glaring weakness of being bound to the lament configuration and cannot return to the realm if it's reset unless purposefully summoned again with it, something Vecna does not suffer from and from what i understand, have dealt with beings more powerful than himself before in the past, of course he won't be doing anything to The Entity because of the amount of plot armor it has.
Also his power level doesn't reach Vecna levels of ultra powerful, Castlevania Dracula however would be closer to that of an ultra powerful killer who would need the mark.

Man this lore stuff is confusing, everything I find online about this mark is different, some people say it's just meant to nerf killers that would be too strong to be fair in the trials but not strong enough to escape or stand a chance against the entity like Sadako for example while others say it's just to nerf the killers actually capable of escaping

If we're gonna be objective about it, then the segment of Mathieu Cote talking about the mark itself and what he says about it are the only thing that truly matters about it lore-wise, at least until something official is stated about it in-game as well.

I mean, it took Alan Wake 13 years to escape the Dark Place, and he doesn't have access to the Writer's Room anymore. I think he's here to stay, mark or no mark.

Won't really matter if he got the writers room or not since it's the clicker that makes whatever he writes come true, without it he's just an ordinary person.
Also because both Remedy & BHVR devs in an article have stated that Alan Wake's appearance in DBD is, or at least can be considered canon to both DBD & Alan's own game lore and main timeline as one of his many failed escape attempts from the dark place inbetween the events of Alan Wake 1 & 2, it means that he is going to canonically escape the fog too and end up back in the dark place as a result.
