Remote Hooking was a mistake
It feels way too good to use as a killer and way too bad to play against as a survivor. No pallet saves, wiggling, flashlight saves, sabo, DS, nothing. Not to mention the bug that lets you hook multiple survivors.
The efficiency of back-to-back chases builds too much pressure for the average Survivor team. Since the start of the event, the queues for killers have been noticeably longer, and the almost permanent +100%/150% extra BP bonus Survivor corroborates that impression.
I usually take this time of the year to stack cakes on both Survivor and Killer for the rest of the year but this single mechanic ruined the whole anniversary for me. Yes, I can play matches in normal mode (thank god) but we all still need to finish challenges for the time-limited cosmetics.
So please BHVR, by the love of all that is good, do not turn this into a permanent mechanic as many content creators suggested and provide counterplay if it inevitably arrives next year (but hopefully it won't).

If your only joy as survivor is saving survivors off killer's shoulders, then sure. You won't have to deal with it after the event anyway, or even now if you just play the normal mode.

It would be better to play in normal mode, and in the event you should look for ways to enjoy the event.

I think it's possible that any of the event mechanics would unbalance the game if they were permanent, but my personal experience with remote hooks is that I really like it as killer and it makes no difference to my game as solo survivor, since my teammates rarely go for saves anyway. 98% of the time a down was a hook in solo queue, so I notice no difference for the event.

I think it's fine since it's only for the event. The event tome isn't difficult to do at all, so as annoying as remote hooks are I havent found them to hold me back from progressing through and obtaining the event rewards.
The way alot of killers talk about PGP and FB and "flashlight bully squads" it sometimes feels like every single game they're losing survivors off their shoulders. It's actually refreshing to see someone acknowledge that it almost never happens lol

I think for an event the Remote Hooking is fine (when it works and is not bugged…). I dont want to have it in normal gameplay, because Killer/Survivor-Interaction is important and remote hooking removes a part of it.
The only problem I have with it during the event is that you can be hooked in the Basement. Usually Basement Hooks are fine because the Killer needs to sacrifice a few seconds to use it, but not when they are remote hooking someone into the basement.
