Not Blinded but the Light,.. but?
Just a curious question: for those who use Lightborn. ...
Why does it still animate a Killer into reacting as if Blast Mine worked, blinding? Shouldn't Lightborn negate all blinding effects ? But Blast Mine still has killer stuck in animation. I anticipate Survivor's will disagree to even hinting at any change, but shouldn't a perk based on having no effects to being blinded by any means, by any blinding effect. Negate all effects including an animation?

Blast Mine does not only blind, but it also stuns the Killer. Lightborn does not prevent the Killer from getting stunned.

Yeah this.

There is "Blast" in Blast mines

As others have pointed out, the physical reaction animation is a stun, not a blind. The perk does both, and Lightborn protects against the blind part only.
Think of it like the concussive force of the thing blowing up in your face. Even with supernatural sunglasses protecting you from any vision effects, you're still gonna flinch at something like that, right?

Thanks for that explanation. Much appreciated. I honestly didn't think about the "physical" effects

Does it count towards blinding a killer then?
If so lightborne should negate it.
