Is this Knight rework a buff or a nerf? +Bugfixes?
I can't tell if this a nerf or a buff. Also, are the bugs finally fixed?

Power been shifted around so hard to tell if buff or nerf. Maybe closer to a nerf since you can no longer use your power in a chase or any 1v1 scenario other than having the fat guard smash pallets.

Definitely some better addons, but nerf for his base kit imo.
They made his healthier play style better, but it's still bad and not viable. Nerfed his strongest(but still bad)/unhealthy play style though in return.

i think his strongest play-style in pincer still exists. It just has higher skill-floor. I think his add-on are no better than before because the 300% depletion makes dried horse meat a mandatory add-on and the 10 meter restriction for placing a patrol makes call to arms a mandatory add-on.
So in many ways, knight has less add-on variety.

He got the chucky treatment. He feel more fair but definitely nerf. The devs did a better job than what I initially thought.
He feel smother to play because of the guards switching and the power cancelling option which can allow u to mind game survivor trying to flee a loop. His map pressure is weaker overall. The guards chase for more time the longer the patrol path buttttttttt the flags spawn quicker so survivor can just double back easier. So that whole buff is pretty much cancel out. Weaker anti loop and slightly weaker map pressure.

You can still reliably do pincer 2 on 1 attacks on short to medium loops, and his split pressure is definitely buffed, most youtubers consider ir a buff, but i guess it depends on your playstyle.
The jailer last 8 seconds assuming you are next to him from second 1, that still allows more than people think without trying.

It overall is a nerf and I heard from Knight mains that not only pretty much all the old bugs are still here but they also straight up turned one of them into a feature, not even joking.

This is true, although.... can the Carnifex break the pallet without travelling 10m?
Cause if he can, that becomes pretty nasty at some tiles now hes always avaialable....😶😶😶😶

No you only need to be 1 meter from a pallet to order carnifex to break it and he's actually stronger now cause pillage mead makes him break faster and battleaxe head reworked makes him come back faster.
Knight contract also makes guards linger for 8 seconds so has even more anti loop potential

So anti loop is still possible using CTA you can reach the 10 meter requirement in 1.5 seconds works great on loops and Jailer is best anti loop cause he last 24 seconds even drained at 3x he lasts 8 seconds which is enough time to pincer survivora

He lost his only strength (which was, in fact, pretty weak too) and got basically nothing in compensation, certainly a nerf, already bad killer somehow got worse

We'll see as time goes on and people adapt. It nerfs him defintely in terms of removing the camping and loop abilities, but it gives more freedom to select the right power for the right job.
I'd probably say wait for a month or two before finding out for real. A PTB is never long enough to make a true picture.

It's a nerf. You can't use guards in short-range, and they have so much counterplay that they're worthless at long-range. Any survivor with more than five braincells can loop around grab the banner and that's it, your power is nothing but a minor inconvenience. He's going to be unplayable outside of spamming Carnifex pallet-smashing.
He might be healthier for the game, in the sense than he's been effectively deleted from the game. You're better off playing someone else. Like Skull Merchant.

yeah I’m not arguing you can’t still do the pincer play, you can. That’s just irrelevant to my point is all.

I was never implying he can't still do his anti loop, he can. What I am saying is that it's weak on live and still weak in the PTB. It can get you guarenteed hits on both versions, the problem is how long is takes. It's not time efficient. You'll when the 1v1 eventually, but you'll waste too much time that it will cost you the game. This isn't even getting into how boring it is for the survivor, we're just talking strength here, not fun.

Depends if they fix using a guard while there is another guard on patrol / hunt...
If they fix it, then I am going to consider that a nerf overall.
