The Game Has Become More Unfun To Play
I really want to just play a normal match of DBD but the past few weeks it has been really miserable to play DBD just because of the players I am getting matched with.
Giving up is annoying and frustrating.
Survivors either DC or give up on hook on their first hook, ruining my match as Survivor or just resulting in a quick game as Killer. Anything I brought it (Items, Addons, Offerings, etc.) effectively wasted along with my time. I dont feel good when this happens, it just makes me feel awful since I try my best to play in a way that is generally fun for most players but this has been happening more and more as time has gone on.
Then there are just players who want to farm.
And Im sorry to those who enjoy farming, but it is so boring and I would rather just play a different game at that point since it removes all the fun aspects of the game that I enjoy. And if I dont farm, I get treated poorly for doing so, as if Im some sort of bad person for not wanting to join in.
Finally, just matches where the servers crash and everyone gets disconnected.
Matches where I was doing well, having fun, and/or making good progress, only for it to be ruined because the server reached it's limit and crashed. Addons, Items, and Offerings are burned as well, my time is wasted, and it just feels horrible.
I really hate to be negative here, Im just really tired and actually want to play a normal game of DBD, I love DBD, just this is not what I have come to enjoy, and I cannot escape it either since if I just swap roles I still have the same issue on Survivor or Killer.

Then drop it? It's not the end of the world to switch to another game or form of entertainment.
I also dropped league of legends after 10years. Why? Because random teammates can often be ass, matchmaking not being in your favor and non of the teams I joined kept going for the long run and I was often the last one to try.
It is what it is and in the end we have to accept it or leave it.

As far as survivor goes.…That s the way it is. Even if they don't give up early too many survivors don't do anything... I've taken my turn keeping a killer busy for a long time to my to see nobody was on a gen and completely wasted. 50/50 of they even unhook me. BHVR has made the killers stronger to battle the swf bully squads.... If you aren't in that group, it's miserable to play survivor.

I have. This has been an issue that has been getting worse and worse as time has gone on and as a result I have been playing less and less.
But just because "I should stop playing" does not invalidate my opinion either. Why should people just quit or play less but not be able to inherently voice their opinion on issues?

Best thing to do is take a vacation. If more people did so, it would signal to BHVR that something is wrong and it’s not just the usual forum whining and hopefully get them to act and make improvements. They won’t do much if people keep playing since participation is a sign that the game is still “good enough”.

if you’re a solo survivor who’s competent just stop playing! I still play Killer sometimes but bhvr allowing survivor to exist in its current state is ridiculous. I didnt pay money for half of the game to be fix gens until I lose simulator. There are other team based games that allow you to carry and aren’t auto losses before you even load in. Overwatch is free to try and has abilities as well
