Invocation
I discovered this recently, but invocation should not be negated by gens being blocked. If I spend a minute in the basement and become broken the rest of the ENTIRE game and the killer gets their first hook and grim embrace activates…. it shouldn't just counter the entire invocation. that is incredibly silly

Yeah I still don't know why they haven't changed this. They say "blocked gens can't receive progression", but they're not getting progression, they're having the total charges reduced. It's different.
It's not stated on the perk at all that blocked generators don't work with it either. It's really annoying and makes the perk far less appealing. It has a very high cost so it needs to be consistent.

then make generator regress when blocked.

How about no.
Weaving Spiders is an edge case as in it does not provide progression or regression. It only changes the required charges. It should not be blocked when a generator is blocked.
3 -
it provides 10 charges of progression in the form of removing charges. it used to provide raw progression before the live release in the PTB.
1 -
In a technical sense, it doesn't apply any progression. Therefore it should be exempt from the Generator Blocking rules.
3 -
the definition of progression is being able to finish generator quicker. Reducing the number of charges on generator shortens the total amount of time needed to complete the generator. that is faster progression.

If you cannot apply a Brand New Part to a Generator when it is blocked then why should you be able to have Weaving Spiders be able to apply it's effect when a Generator's blocked? Seem's like a pretty fair interaction and it's incredibly rare that more than 1 Generator is ever blocked at the same time outside of Corrupt Intervention being in play, which is pretty easy to avoid if you wait the 3 minutes or until someone is downed before starting or completing the Invocation.

I mean you can't apply a Brand New Part to a Generator because you literally can't start the Interaction. Weaving Spiders is different in that regard.
I'm not sure why you think more than 1 Generator being blocked at a time is rare either, Grim Embrace is pretty meta at the moment and that blocks literally every single Generator on the map.

Yes.

True Grim Embrace does block every generator, nothing is stopping you however from not completing the Invocation until Grim Embrace goes away, you have a HUD that tells you everything thats happening within the match and can easily plan out when to use and finish the Invocation.

You shouldn't have to do that imo. For a perk with such a massive downside, it needs to have the description of the perk changed. I literally had no idea this was a thing until I started using invocation more. I doubt most players know about this either. It should state blocked gens do not get invocation applied to them. I still think it's silly, I shouldn't have to be in a swf to use this perk. Killer has thrilling tremors and picks up when I pop it, I wouldn't know. But now every gen on the map aside from maybe 1 or 2 being worked on are now immune to invocation for 16 entire seconds. Grim embrace, sure I can check after someone gets hooked but you know what I mean - for such a MASSIVE downside, that is a very silly thing that negates it. As far as the specifics, removing charges is not progressing a gen. If you remove the charges, the pistons don't just start moving. It stays at 0. It is not progression

agreed

I agree this should be an exception to the rule. Something that takes a full 60 seconds in basement and has the downside of being perma-Broken should not be negated just because something like Grim Embrace happened to be active at that moment.
3 -
The best change for this perk would be to remove the stupid broken effect from it and increase the time to 90s or make that you loose a hook state as negative.

I had this happen in a game vs a blight. It went off at the same time as Grim. It would have been a 2 out if not for the blocking lol

Sounds like bug

Unfortunately, it is intended.

First of all - no
Progressing a gen is literally increasing its progress. Removing charges does increase progress.
Tho there is a problem of immense downside of invocation, and it's one time use. If I can't use BNP on gen I can use it later and/or on another gen. Invocation cannot be redone, you literally loose it's value at the top of all it's downsides.
If I can't use invocation then maybe I should not be broken, neither gen should loose stacks but next use of invocation should be much shorter.

invocation is pretty free now. you get off almost every single game. It is just that reward isn't worth it. If it was like -30 charges than people would use it.
