Do you all think killer side will get perks that utilize the basement incantation circle?
Like how we have Boons and Hexes, a subset of perks for killer to receive some kind of buff for going to the circle? And what would even be good ideas for going out of your way to do it?

Gonna be real awkward if both killer and survivor run to the basement at the same time

you also want to summon a devil huh?

More bloodpoints?

Trapper sits in the basement for sixty seconds and in return gets unlimited traps.

They don't really have enough time to use perks like that unless they have someone slugged 2 feet away to buy some extra time, it would need to be something short like 10 or 15s and even then it probably would be hard to balance being worth it

I don't think there is any perk worth 60 seconds of killer time that isn't ridiculous and I don't want that because I play killer for constant action. If I wanted to waste 60 seconds for objectives i would play survivor more.

If they did something like this it would have to be shorter for the killer like 15-20 secs of time spent for a mediocre buff just like the survivor side got, maybe just reverse it of the survivor version and make all the gens on the map explode with a 10% instant regression, get blocked for five seconds for some extra regression added, it's not OP at all lol about on par with the survivor version

It wouldn't necessarily be time-based, much like how Boons and Hexes work differently.
Perhaps a killer goes to the basement to get a timed buff after a few seconds and has to return there to reapply the buff, adding more time they need to wait at the circle to receive the buff or a token amount. Sky's the limit on how it could be implemented, I guess.0 -
Best were gonna get is basement scrouge hook perks

You mean Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine?

Problem is that as killer you should persue and pressure gens, you cant really allow yourself to spend time on secondary effects if you must go a lot of our your way.
Channel 1 minute in basement is losing the game.
That being said, i would love that basement have something cool apart that Trapper holidays home.
May be basement are always scourge hooks and then buff/change monstruous shinre?
May be go to rekindle an unbreakable hex perk?(That can be turned off).
Or just whatever, as for now i usually dont waste time going to basement to hook survs you lose a lot of time. Unless you play a killer that can capitalize doind that (Trapper, bubba and stuff).

I don't really see how it would work. For survivors it's more giving them a side objective and survivors have more hands to work with. Spending 60 seconds in the basement and then having to find survivors to chase off gens would result in two to three gens popping at mid MMR and above unless the Killer did something like slug three of the survivors first (in which case the survivors could reset entirely). Putting in an effect that's even comparable to the lost pressure or gens would feel too oppressive to the survivors.
For 2v8 maybe it would work. Give it a shorter activation time and give aura reading on all of the survivors for x seconds. Nobody sensible is going to assume 2v8 will be possible to balance anyway so it could be a fun thing to do there. In 1v4 matches though the Killer just doesn't have the time to do something like that since the Killer has to handle 4 people at once by themselves.

It's why I considered the difference between boons and hexes, with one active immediately and one needing to be blessed.
Though if there were an active effect in basement, I feel as if it would need a different mechanic than hexes, can't just reuse that idea. There would need to be a good reason killer goes to basement at all for exactly the reasons you and others have mentioned.1 -

While I don't know if it will ever happen that we get perks like that I'd find it cool if we get some kind of killer using the basement to summon or maybe change it's form of some kind, that sounds like a really cool form of setup-killer that doesn't involve traps.

It would need to work differently, because the survivors would just have a field day whilst the killer desperately tries an incantation.
What might work is the circle could be used as a place for delivering blood. After hitting survivors a set amount of time, you can travel to the basement to present a blood offering, which in turns grants you a benefit. That would be something that - when I play as a killer - I'd like to do. A bit like gramps from the TCM game..
