The best rift ever!
I just wanted to say WELL DONE on the Tome 20 Mythic rift. This is by far the best rift you guys have created. Please keep going with the same passion and creative vision you put into this one for future works. The Spirit, Yui and Sable Ward outfits are my favorites, but the whole thing is incredible. Big round of applause for everyone that worked on this!

The fact that there were no backpacks :D

We don't need backpacks! Yui got fox tails and Sable got wings! 😃

Only good thing about this rift are the free shards and additional pages of bloodpoints, as well as the recolors.
The rest however is pretty bad, especially the Yui skin.

I'm guessing nothing for any of the characters you play made it into the rift this time? If not then I don't understand how anyone who plays this game can't appreciate how good this rift is.

It has nothing to do with the characters i play not making it in, it's purely by the fact that the direction these cosmetics are taking is veering too far into DBD Mobile/Fortnite cosmetic territory with how clean, fantastical and eye-candy looking for the sake of just being eye-candy these cosmetics are, as they completely disregard the game's existing theme, aesthetic and things associated with them such as blood-stain, fabric tears and generally looking dirtied up & worn out (Especially by adding overly ostentatious things like glowing hair and spirit parts or animated effects.)
We've had cosmetics before in the same vein, but at least they had the aforementioned elements and mostly looked like something characters would actually own and wear, never taking it to such a level like these new cosmetics are taking it.

I understand where you're coming from but in all fairness I think these cosmetics fit very well into DBD's world. DBD isn't just exclusively horror themed. It has fantasy elements as well. The main antagonist is a giant space spider monster than can alter realities. Most of DBD's killers have fantasy themes in their design. Magic and spirits are very much a part of DBD.

Cosmetics are irrelevant to the lore because outside of the few additional ones that appears in tome cinematics, cosmetics in general aren't canon and their descriptions aren't canon events either, that's why most cosmetics you see in the lore that Survivors and Killers wear are the default ones primarily.
It may not be exclusively horror, but that is it's primary theme overall and in mostly all other themes the game has dabbled in at least reflected that one way or another, even the existing Spirits and Magic also reflected that horror theme. Also The Entity is straight up eldritch horror through and through with any other elements to it being completely minor and secondary.
These newer cosmetics have none of that and quite frankly is nothing more than aesthetic bait same way DBD Mobile cosmetics are, all clean, fantastical, nothing the characters would actually wear and no trace of the horror theme of the game.
These kinds of cosmetics are exactly what's gonna end up turning DBD into TF2 if it continues down this path.

They are very cool. I also liked a lot the ones on the last rift, they are doing a good job with the cosmetics.

They're not entirely irrelevant. Most of the cosmetics from what I've seen reflect something about the character. Either that or they reflect a moment in their life or an alternate reality of them. They basically could've been a version of the character that the entity could've taken. The cosmetics enhance the characters and make them more interesting. They would all be quite boring if most of their cosmetics were just different variations of torn bloody clothes.

They can reflect something from a character such as being in line with a character's theme or personality, however that doesn't make those skins or skin descriptions canon to the characters themselves by default, as none of the skins outside the ones that appear in tome cinematics are part of their base and tome lores directly, also we have no proof from the lore itself that cosmetics are in fact alternative reality versions of the characters, as it is never directly backed up by the lore itself. The only parts of the lore that we know are specifically alternative reality versions are mainly the characters featured in the NPC tome entries.
Also i specifically remember from a livestream 2-3 years ago with the devs, that Cote said that cosmetics aren't canon and that only the default ones are, unfortunately however it's source cannot be traced back to it's origin because bhvr doesn't save all of their twitch livestreams, so take it with a grain of salt.

I will agree that there are some amazing outfits in this rift (Sable top tier, David (for me at least :) ), Trickster, etc.).
However, I am very salty that this is the 2nd rift in a row WITHOUT deep rift outfits for male survivors. Male survivors are my favorite characters in the game and I keep not getting what I want. We shouldn't let this go unnoticed.

That was the point though. The cosmetics they get beyond the default don't have to be canon to be relevant to DBD's theme. They exist as a variation of the character that could have been used as the default. Ultimately its about marketing and making profit. Even still I think this rift and everything else in the game so far fits. If you look at some of the outfits like Sable's summer skin you wouldn't think that would be anything more than just a style of bikini she would wear but she also has a giant wound on her back which shows that horror element.

Except they exist to replace the default cosmetics with optional cosmetics, that doesn't make those optional cosmetics defaults like the base cosmetics are, since defaults are only the base/starting outfits that all characters have equipped to begin with, there can't be multiple defaults for the same character.
Also what could or couldn't have been used as a default instead doesn't matter in the slightest, either a cosmetic is or isn't the default outfit, there is no inbetween on this.
Ultimately its about marketing and making profit.
It's always been about money, even before when bhvr actually kept their cosmetics in line with the rest of the game's tone and aesthetic, so all that means is that bhvr is willing to sacrifice the game's existing horror in pursuit of money should it suit them to do so.
It also doesn't change the fact that cosmetics like the most recent rift ones doesn't fit with the rest of the cosmetics in the game, no other cosmetics in this game come as close to how DBD Mobile cosmetics looks like on mobile, even the cosmetics that are directly ported from mobile itself are noticably changed up in how they look on core DBD to fit with the rest of cosmetic's tone and aesthetic on there.
If you compare how mobile cosmetics on mobile itself looks and how core cosmetics looks, the difference between both of them becomes very apparent with how much they stand out from each other, unlike the new rift outfits and the upcoming Feng outfit when compared with the average mobile outfit on mobile itself and how much closer they are to each other.
If you look at some of the outfits like Sable's summer skin you wouldn't think that would be anything more than just a style of bikini she would wear but she also has a giant wound on her back which shows that horror element.
Exactly my point, even recent cosmetics like the Sable's beach skin have at least some elements of DBD's horror aesthetic and theme with elements like blood, fabric-tears or just in general being dirtied up, things most cosmetics on core DBD have a visible amount of.
The new rift cosmetics however does not have any of that and in fact are completely clean and factory new looking, the same way cosmetics on DBD Mobile itself are exactly just like that, which coupled with unnecessary particle effects like the fox tail and glowing hair for Yui or the upcoming Feng outfit, these new types of outfits stand out like a complete sore thumb as they contrast almost every other existing core DBD cosmetic in the game currently. As unlike them, these new type of Fortnite looking skins have not a single shred of horror to them.
Games like tf2 & rainbow six: siege lost their original aesthetic, theme and tone by embracing these types of glossy and shiny eye-candy looking cosmetics, DBD will suffer the same fate as those games if it continues down this path by adding cosmetics that are just like these new ones.

If it brings more people to the game, does it really matter? I think Lara Croft doesn't really fit in DBD, but I've seen her in almost every match I've played since the update. No matter what kind of cosmetics or characters they bring in, the game is still going to be about fantasy horror killers hunting down survivors to sacrifice them to a cosmic demon spider. If you really think about it, cosmetics like what we see in the current rift have really belonged in DBD since the beginning.

You think 99% of everything in this game is bad. xD

Agreed. The new cosmetics are tacky, out of place, clashing, and just plain silly.
