The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Knight is now bottom C-tier killer

I even feel like Dredge is better than him and Dredge is not good at all and need helps as well.

He needs some serious buffs and revert some of these nerfs.

I think you'd have more fun with any other killers even if you 3gen

    He already was.

he was never good unless you were a bad killer and needed his brain dead play style to get kills

C tier is kinda a generous rating to give him.

He is rock bottom tier absolute beginner stomper. He can keep people distracted and apply ''pressure'' but once there are survivors who have a full set of eyes and hands he stops being any problem. At this moment, I'd rather have a pre-patch Knight - he was low tier too but at least he could shine in one out of ten matches. Now if you manage to win with him it's usually because you were matched with really weak or chill opponents.

If they get rid of the shadow-nerf/bug cooldown, he'll be better.

If they rid of the detection bug, he's a B-tier Killer.

He is pretty bad right now but honestly it wouldn't take much to make him decent to play again. I can already see some aspects of kit that are better than before. His guards are a good pressure tool and I've been getting more hits with them lately, but one mistake or misplaced guard and you basically just lose. If Jailor doesn't spot someone you have no power for 34 seconds! That's longer than Ghostface's original cooldown and he was terrible because of it. The cool-down is longer than Nurse and require way more effort to get value from.

Some suggestions (not necessarily all of them should be added):

    • Reduce the cool-down. This is the main reason he feels awful because the cool-down is so long. Bring it back down to 3 seconds. They could even do it so all guards go on cool-down for 3 seconds but the one you placed goes down for 10 to encourage more variety in guards. Either way, just please reduce it.
    • Fix the spawn collision. Carnifex's main power is to destroy pallets quickly, however you can rarely rely on it when you have to step back to spawn the guard. Either let him place guards no matter what and just bump them back, have them spawn IN the Knight rather than in front, or just simply let them spawn inside pallets - they can already walk through them so why not?
    • Call to Arms base kit. It's still required. Should've been added ages ago.
    • Let him recall Guards from anywhere. Not as necessary as the other changes, but it would make misplaces a guard more forgiving. To balance it you could even use the longer cool-down here!
    • If a guard is stuck in the same spot for more than 3 seconds, it should just instantly disappear to prevent the guard AI getting them stuck on a wall and essentially losing your entire power until the timer runs out (plus 10 second cool down!)

The cool-down and collision are the main reasons he sucks right now. Fix those and I think he would be stronger than before and less frustrating to play as and against.

in my opinion, he is only bottom tier if the survivor knows distraction tech for guards, bug/glitch that bvhr refuses to patch out/fix. If you face a survivor that knows distraction tech exploit, your forced to use Jailer.

in essence, vs 90% of bad survivors, you use assassin and assassin hits them 9/10 times.

vs actual good players, your forced to commit to chases and use Jailer to do Pincer attack in the corner.

    Night night Knight

I love Knight the way he stomps around the map and his sword is a great base weapon but good lord does he suck following the new nerfs.

Ended up playing for a few hooks as against half decent survivors his guards are practically useless.

Far too easy to avoid or loop around and grab the banner.

Cool down is also far too long.

Lol honestly, that was my first thought. Then my next thought was can we do this to Trickster and Twins too please?

Maybe we need at least a smol Squire who picks the banners up and moves them out of the way.

Everyone played and will continue to play Blight regardless of how many killers are buffed because he's one of the strongest and also fun.

The Knight changes overall are a buff, he just plays different now, you can still instant break pallets with carnifex, jailer can have up to a 40 second chase which is insane, and the banner doesn't spawn until like 20 seconds in, assassin is still something to be carful about and is the easiest guard to get hits with. Just because you can't instant drop a guard 6 inches in front of you now does not mean Knight is bad, he is still probably C tier at the highest levels, argument for low B if you play him in an enclosed, balanced environment. He requires more pathing skill for guards, everyone who used to just drop a guard at a pallet and stand there is gonna struggle, the guards now do a better job of what they were meant to do, add map pressure and keep survivors busy, not to get cheap hits at short pallets (which you can still do when used properly)

Every time BHVR ignores feedback, the killer turns out like this.

People need to remind themselves that there were much worse killers than Knight, and that pushing Knight players to the worse options is not a happy ending for anyone.
