Alien Chapter is not scary at all

"Oh no it's Alien!" nobody pretty much says who plays DbD regulary. But you can say "hey but that's normal, DbD isn't scary after few hours once you know the game" and yes while that's true, you can totaly make scary gameplay around a power that will suprise or make nervous even the serious veterands in this game.

If the Alien power for example, would be something like Survivors hear no terror radius and play in first person mode and have to use or find the movement detectors, etc. It would be way more scary. The Alien power itself is not scary, not even slightly.

No face huggers, no stealth, turrents spoil Aliens location and you can have up to 4 of them across the whole map spoiling the location. There is no ambush, no "OH NO!" moments with his power.

I am not saying you have to make survivors first person, etc. to make it scary. But the is thing about theme of Alien franchise is that it supposed to be horror and scary, but its not.

Alien is just Nemesis on 4 like a dog that slaps you with tail, no eggs, no huggers, no stealth, no ambush.

He looks cool tho, but the theme isn't there. He is like your avarage M2 chasing killer.

According to Nightlight Xeno has the 2nd lowest kill rate.. Which is a shame how they butchered this huge license.. But, as you said, at least it looks good.. If only that would count for something

I'm glad Facehuggers are not part of Xeno's power in DBD, no matter what way it would have been implemented, it would never have been done properly justice.

I'm not sure how the themes of Alien could have been translated into DbD.

High tier killers like Spirit, Nurse, Pyramid Head, Wesker, Artist, Huntress, and Plague are all below the average kill rate too. Does this make them weak?

    1st - I didn't say weak

2nd - This Post is about Xeno and not the other Killers you mentioned - return to topic

Facehugger as a mori would only make sense for the Xeno Queen skin to have and even then, it wouldn't have a satisfying payoff no matter what. As either the Facehugger is accurate to the time it takes before it falls off, meaning it never comes off the hugged Survivor for the rest of the trial, leaving out the chestburster completely. If the Survivor gets faced hugged quickly but then it falls off moments after before a chestburster comes out, it would be nothing more than simply just trying to cram it in without doing it properly because it takes sometime first.

As for the Xeno death hook animation, the only way i can see that realistically working is if a Survivor is hooked in the basement on first hook, where the Survivor gets hugged by one until someone rescues them, then when they reach the third hook stage, a chestburster would comes out. My problem with this however is that it doesn't have that marked for death inevitability aspect to it when hugged that the Facehugger had to it in the first movie, which is where it's horror originates from. It also repeats the issue that the mori thing had, which is that the facehugger falls off way too quickly after latching onto a Survivor if they are rescued moments afterwards.

Except it again, wouldn't do it properly justice because it still wouldn't have the aspect to it that made Facehuggers scary to begin with.

generally, i don't think Facehuggers should be anything more than what it already is, a map easter egg, as anything beyond that wouldn't or couldn't do it right.
