Wait so it's not 4500 Iri Shards for each DLC on Cross Progression?

The way I saw the FAQ it made it seems like you would get 4,500 iri shards for each DLC that you own on both.

From the FAQ:

So it doesn't matter how many DLC you bought on both, you only get 4,500. So if someone bought only one DLC on both, they get 4,500 shards. I bought 15 DLCs on both the Xbox and on Steam (I own every DLC even Tomb Raider day one on Steam) and I get the same amount as the person who only bought one? Okay. Thanks, BHVR.

I understand they don't have to give anything, but I've spent so much money on this game (DLC plus buying Auric for cosmetics and rift passes) I kid you not it has to be over 500 dollars I have spent on this game since 2019. I'm not proud of it, but for being a fan boy and supporting this game for years, 4,500 iri shards so I can buy one piece of an outfit along with the person who spent maybe 50 dollars on this game all together just feels like a slap in the face of my loyalty to this game. Am I overacting and being dramatic? Probably, I'm just very annoyed right now and ranting.

I mean, yea… 4.5K IS is really not a lot considering the amount of money you have to fork over to get all the DLC on multiple platforms (especially with Licensed content).

4.5K IS isn't a lot by any stretch, however, it was outlined… somewhere, that it was a flat 4500 IS, not 4500 PER DLC.

I had to buy a month of Game Pass to even access this and it's a measly 4500 shards. I'm genuinely pissed off.

I'm bouncing between fuming anger, and almost laughing that BHVR is so greedy they couldn't even make it an even 5K lol

It's mostly anger, though. I didn't even want to make the jump to Steam in the first place, and only did so because DbD (plus other games) runs terribly on Game Pass, meaning I really had no choice if I wanted to keep playing.

I posted an image of what they said in the FAQ, that's the only place I read about it. To me it read like 4,500 for each DLC purchased.

"We are unable to retroactively refund your duplicate purchases but we want to thank you for your long-term support of DBD. As a thank you, we will gift players with 4500 Iridescent Shards automatically the first time they sync accounts if they owned the same DLC on multiple platforms. This special thank you gift is available for 3 months after cross-progression is released, until October 22nd 2024."

Doesn't say a flat amount for all DLC. Says 4,500 if they owned THE same DLC on multi platforms. That's how I read it and what I expected to get.

I mean whatever it doesn't matter. I've had one foot out of the door with this game. I only keep playing because I spent so much. I think it's time to finally cut my loss and move on and stop playing and spending so much money on this game. I just needed a small nudge and this gave it to me.

Not sure if anyone from the DBD team will see this or not but I just wanted to respond to this after seeing the update on Twitter, thank you BHVR for listening to the community about this. Can't wait to get my shards in October. It will be worth the wait.

I just got nudged back into the fog. Still not sure if that's a good thing or not 🙈🙉🙊

Yeah 4500 really is a small amount considering it's almost the 1/5 of the cost of a costume. I had every killer on both sides and all survivors on PC with quite a few on console also. I mean it would hardly hurt to give long time players that have bought multiple duplicates enough shards for a few full costumes. Happy that I finally have all my progression and additional cosmetics though from my old Xbox account. I had every killer +3 on my Xbox account so it's saved me a significant amount of time clicking the blood web and farming points to get all perks at T3.

tbh I’m more mad at the fact that we don’t get blood points returned for the prestige levels wasted. I’m positive everyone here who has transferred from one platform to another before cross progression is upset that only the highest prestige is shared instead of also returning those hours of game play back. It’s honestly upsetting that they can’t even give BP to players when they took 6 years to release it compared to every other game

Yeah it would have been cool to combine the prestige levels between the two. So say you got Jake to P30 on Xbox and then to P20 on Steam, your Jake would now be now P50 on both.

Yeah, if you're not a fan no point sticking around. I've stuck around for games I had sunk a lot of time into for no reason other than that, good ol' sunk cost fallacy.
