Disturbed ward is really strong

This map feels old and outdated. It doesnt really look good and the collision feels terrible. It is also a very large map with a wide gen spread. The main building is also extremley strong, it has 3 god pallets, a god vault, and it is in the middle which makes it easy to get too. It allows for survivors to get to other strong loops like shack and jungle gyms easy. It feels terrible to play as on killer and feels really favoured to survivors. it just feels super outdated like the old dbd maps. I feel like after they are done with the swamp rework I think they should move onto this one.

Survivors still have plenty of good maps.

Sure, the Haddonfield rework sucked but don't act like there aren't a good amount of survivor sided maps in the game.

There is no such thing as a god pallet. Break it and it’s gone. The vault is also right next to a door which is a loop easily broken, predicted and countered by most killers.

God pallets are any pallet that is so safe that they MUST be broken in order to continue once its tossed down. Theyre completely safe. Many pallets can be left alone and played around.

Ok so my terminology was incorrect, I accept that but… break the pallet if it’s so troublesome.

The the whole point of a pallet in this game is to provide a break in chase and even discourage killers to continue on, but rather go and kick gens or chase someone else - even though the premise seems to be lost on BHVR these days.

Most pallets are absolute trash now. They’re so unsafe that the killer is round the other side downing you before the animation is even finished. I don’t see why we’ve gone so far in the other direction. It’s really disheartening that people want yet more of this action which imo should never have happened in the first place.

Reduce the total amount of pallets on a map. Fine, but make the ones that are there useful, please.

I think it’s close to an even split, with most maps slightly favoring killers. It’s gonna depend on the killer though. Lery’s for instance is survivor-sided unless you’re racing a stealth killer, then it’s that killer-sided

A god pallet doesnt mean its this holy construction of unbreakable planks. It simply means the killer has to break it in order to continue chase. Think of it like camping, the killer isnt pitching a tent with a campfire and marshmallows. Its just a term used to describe a killer sticking around the hook.

Think of it this way, as a 50/50 player I don't mind a few god pallets here and there, I generally believe every pallet should have some play for the survivor but too many god pallets are a bad thing because there's no mindgame or no counterplay it's literally follow the survivor to the the god pallet knowing they're gonna throw it and you have to break it, every second counts as a killer so if you have too many a survivor can just run you to every one of them on a five gen run because you lose any gained bloodlust when you break a pallet and there's no counterplay unless survivors want nurse every match , as for the map disturbed ward I believe it's a good balanced map that doesn't really need any adjustments, I would like to see gideons reworked to not have like 10-12 god pallets and over 30 pallets on the map, are we really bringing up the 3 balanced god pallets on disturbed ward and ignoring the giant elephant in the room? That's my question.

I never understood why they reworked the map and then every entrance has to have those little walls/dips it’s just irritating to navigate

I recently came back to DBD after a year break and seeing how many maps look right now from a survivor perspective I can 1000% say Disturbed Ward is perfectly fine.

God pallets by definition are pallets the must be broken. A single God pallet gives the survivor 15 meters of distance, which if they just hold shift + w, it adds at minimum 19 seconds of a chase. This means, mathematically speaking, all it takes is for a survivor to hold shift + w, predrop a single god pallet, shift + w to a corner of the map, and die, and there is enough time for the other 3 survivors to finish 3 gens before the killer can even hook that survivor.

God pallets should not exist, every pallet should be mindgamable, and the safety in pallets should not be the predrop, but in stunning the killer. Then, they need to either:

    • Massively increase the number of pallets in a map
    • Make it so pallets respawn after a set amount of time.

That way every single chase is dynamic and full of constant mindgames and strategy on both sides, instead of just boring, insta-predrop and run to a corner of the map.

The reason that killers take 4 slowdown perks, is not because "gens are too fast" or anything like that. It is simply because the only viable way for killers to win, is to stall out the game as long as possible until the survivors don't have any resources left. Which leads to boring un-interactive gameplay on both sides.

No more map reworks until Haddonfield gets fixed.

Counterpoint but I think it is good that we now have a wider variety of maps that cater to either side.

Whenever a Map Offering is not in play, it really does feel like there is a good chance of getting a map that is either good or bad for the side that I am playing, and I generally enjoy the variety a lot more.

Although ideally more central/neutral maps would be better for game health, I do think having stuff that leans more towards either side creates more variety and overall makes me enjoy the game a lot more.

Albeit, this is mostly anecdotal and opinionated, I dont expect people to agree, but I just find it more fun overall.
