The game feels so stale and dry in 1v4

After playing 2v8 normal games are just so boring to me, im either back to working on a generator by myself or searching the empty map trying to find players. But 2v8 is so much more chaotic. Theres always someone by my side as survivor or at least in sight; and theres never any moment where the map feels dry as killer. Theres chaos everywhere you go!

I know 2v8 was made for chaos but it just feels so much more lively than normal gamemode, which says a lot considering 1v4 has SO MANY MORE variations in comparison

I would love if 2v8 was a permanent gamemode maybe once every week, and the killers could be cycled.

best of all. In 2v8 there’s almost no camping and tunneling!

yesterday it wasn’t bad. But now all the toxic killers who are tired of the 1v4 queue times came over to the casual mode. They figured out how to guess where the cage will spawn. I see it most with huntress (go figure) and hillbilly

Agree.from the killer side I don't want to go back to 1v4. I tried a match last night again, and after a 10 min que, it was just boring in comparison. When 2v8 goes away I'll probably switch over to elden ring till they come out with the next limited game mode. I think 2v8 was so successful it has ruined 1v4 for me

I do somewhat agree. I just try to keep 1v4 fresh by always trying out new builds on different killers. Admittedly, even that can become a little stale.

2v8 has been very fun for me. And I've had a lot of good experiences in post-game chat due to it.

Returned to 1v4 today for challenges, immediately called a camper for not immediately leaving hook because I'm kicking gens and placing some biopods as Singu. One time a Leon was looping around a hooked survivor, not trading, and wanting me to chase while screwing their teammate over and the second survivor who unhooked them was the one raging at me in EGC about 'camping.'

Not looking forward to that again.

I have the complete opposite experience. I will only play 2v8 for the remaining challenges and I hope that they never add a Tome for it again.

The mode is garbage, it is not fun at all. I prefer the 4v1-mode by a mile.

It is not garbage but it needs tweaking imo.

It is fast and very action orientated. But with normal players i often get it is a chaos where most run aimlessly around and get downed fast and tag teamed which feels really bad.

Also there is no perk / save variation and the constant aura reveals make it almost impossible to hide somewhere - especially in end game or when you are one of the last survs. Completely no chance.

I find this mode pretty exhausting to play longer.

I love the idea of keeping 2v8 fresh with different killers and different classes being switched out.

Overall I'm loving 2v8. I'm a (very) casual player and, from what I'm seeing, the ones who prefer 1v4 are the more experienced players. But this style is really forgiving for newbies and the chaos is so much fun! The only downside for me is the constant aura readings the killers get. It makes playing a stealth style impossible. You could be sandwiched between 2 bushes on the edge of the map, behind a wall and not making a sound - and killers still bee line to you. Other than that, it's great!

1v4 feels very empty & not as fun now - I don’t want to go back.

if the developers could work on & improve 2v8 this could be a really big thing for DBD. I honestly haven’t had this much fun in aaaages

I understand there are those who are against this mode, but honestly this is a work in progress - all subject to change. Personally I think if the maps were made slightly bigger, the killer roster all available, the survivors get more roles and tweaks here and there… it could be way bigger than 1v4 ever was
