About Trapper: Why is he rated an Easy killer, but Hag is rated Very Hard?
Apparently, the difficulty ratings are supposed to mean how easy it is for a newer player to use the power and actually do stuff with it.
Okay, fair enough. Hag's power is extremely easy to use, but difficult to use well and get fruitful results from.
Well, Trapper's power is similarly easy to use (what's so hard about setting a bear trap), but extremely difficult to get fruitful results because unlike Hag's traps (which have broken shackles to suppress the effects) everyone knows when someone's trapped in a trap as the icon shows up in the UI.
With this in mind, why is Trapper rated Easy? Shouldn't he be rated Very Hard as his power is also difficult to use well enough as to get kills?
If not Very Hard, at least Hard?
Or is this a remnant from the past when Trapper was much better and easier to get kills with, and the devs just never re-assesed the difficulty?

The difficulty indicators are based near-enough exclusively on how difficult their powers are to play in general, not to master per se.
Trapper, well, sets down bear traps. Even a slight bit of intuition will tell you how those are going to work.
Hag, on the other hand, is a bit more abstract. She sets down triangles, which shoot out a clone of herself when approached by survivors. Hags need to know the trigger range of the traps, that she can teleport to triggered traps, that crouching doesn’t trigger them, that the teleportation is limited in range, etc..
Again, Trapper is just… collect bear trap, set down bear trap, herd survivor into bear trap. Bosh.

Well..
Trapper is based easy moreso on his perks and his ability to cause a better slugfest than a hagatha.
Plus Trapper can repick up his traps whereas hag has to replace one if she hits 10.
Vice Versa tbh..

For a simple reason imo: trapper is a 4.6 while hag is 4.4.
Trapper can be less dependant in chases from his bear traps (you can still get hits from bad positioning), hag can't chase without her power (technically you can, but you'll waste too much time and you'll throw the game by doing so)

Oh.
That explains it a lot more, since i haven't ever seen anything difficult about hag's power aside from "oh it's a funny mud triangle which creates mud lady that jumpscares you, etc…

That's the best explanation of Trapper I have ever read.
