Are breakable walls a dropped feature?

The last time a new breakable wall was added to dead by daylight was 2 years ago with garden of joy. While some breakable walls have been on new variants and reworks, they were not newly added but rather kept from the previous versions.

So are breakable walls a dropped feature? Can we expect to see them ever again on new maps in the future?

i hope they dropped them. they never brought any fun into the game all you do is learn wich walls are worth breaking and wich you should ignore and then its just a time consuming prep you have to do every time you load into a certain map

It really wasn't fun or interactive tbh, and not sure if those walls were actually working as balance factor either

they are in a very weird condition right now..

They can’t just delete them as there are some challenges that require them and plenty of loops would be broken if the walls were just gone without other adjustments. But now, you have maps without any walls, some with very few walls and some with plenty of them which in some part need to be broken down for some killers.

imo, they need some touch up (or deletion and change every challenge to require pallet breaks instead) - make the brake animation faster than other break animations for starters. Also a bit smoother to access (on controller I sometimes need to readjust position to break when I was already right in front of it…). Then add some interactivity to them - have survivor perks/items work with them, have killer powers interact with them (Wraith and Spirit maybe Sadako being able to walk through in their respective phases for example; others can have their power break them on impact without being slowed down).
