Endgame chat censoring
Can we please remove the Endgame chat censoring?
Even normal words get censored. Also: why is the word "kill" censored when it is basically a game about killing?
Please BHVR… it's an age 18+ game.
Improve the report system so insults actually leads to bans and remove the censoring. Maybe a report Button right beside every comment?

The thing is, even if it is an 18+ game does not mean that people might not get hurt by things which get said in the EGC. Things like slurs (F-word, N-word) or simply that someone shoudl end themselves can be really dangerous (especially the last thing can be a trigger if said person is already not in a good spot mentally).
That the game is for adults does not mean that people dont get hurt or that we dont have some really awful people in the community.
However, I would say the Chatfilter should be optional. It should be activated by default, but there should be an option to disable it. Because it is indeed not a really good filter and it filters things which are completely fine. So at least for people who can take the slurs and bad words, they should have an option to disable it.

I mean to be honest, if someone is sufficiently mentally fragile that a single word could destroy them, maybe log out of multiplayer games for the time being to be safe than sorry. Who knows if a quick ctrl+ctrl or W+S+W+S would cause undue harm, and why take that risk?
As far as the censor, I agree there should be a button to disable it, that way people are only opting in if they want to. If you uncensor the chat, then you probably shouldn't be able to report someone for comms, since you decided to jump in the mud pit alongside them. I thoroughly enjoy post-game banter, and I know what I am subjecting myself to from a lifetime of online interactions (plus the game already has a disclaimer along the lines of "online interactions not rated by the ESRB").
There should be certain whitelists though for things like "kill her" and "Yun-Jin", because those are clearly normal game stuff.

i'm okay with the censorship of offensive words even if it's a 18+ game but what i'm not okay with is half my sentence turning into stars when i'm saying the most normal and random thing ever.

Just make it so people who use those words just get autobanned

The problem is this makes saying "nice flashy save ******* (Yun-Jin)" now bannable. The censor is beyond incompetent, and shouldn't have any level of automation tied to it.

Then make it only bannable to certain words like the Nword

It even censors names sometimes. Words like GGs get censored as well depending if the program is having a bad day. I agree that there should be a button to undo the censorship if you want, just like many other games do.

DBD is not a +18 game in most of the world.

Oh right, because that always worked perfectly in any other game. Automatic bans, what could go wrong.
300 euro game (with all DLCs), just to get banned for chat message while cheaters go wild.
Just grow up, or play single player games.

I 100% agree, or at the very least make it optional or if you insist, just censor obvious words and if people get around that to say bannable stuff let the report system deal with it.
I am an adult, I pay my own bills and I make my own decisions and I don't need some company censoring words for me. I can deal with naughty words thanks
