Skull Merchants Quality of life change

I am excited to see that skull merchant will be getting some changes to her sooner than expected, I hope they keep her relatively the same, like keeping the undetectable, and keeping her haste. As for the survivors they honestly can remove deep wound and broken status effect. The scan line immunity can be increased to 3.5 seconds instead of 3 or even 4 seconds since she already has an add on for the scan line immunity. It would also be nice if she got some changes to the sound affects from her drones, the scan notification and also change the way her drones look to be more “high tech” looking, I would like to see expensive equipment also her reader/phone/tablet being upgraded as well lol and if the devs wanna throw in some more outfits for her I would definitely purchase them :)

    Considering all the hate this community has for her, i wonder if BHVR will just gut her completely until their can rework her for a 3rd time.

    The devs are reasonable. I doubt they will gut her because they know that is not the solution either.

    Yeah, i want them to succeed but it seems that every time they change her it backfires, so i wonder what they will do because there is a real risk of creating another bigger problem.

    But as the OP said, i wish they focus on her tracking and speed bonus and removes the deep wound and broken status, making her more of a chase oriented killer than a area protector.

    It backfires because of the community. It doesn’t matter what they do to her, they will always hate her.

    It’s something the community will just have to move on from.

    I don't think it only backfire because of the community. It backfired because they've made her stronger and more annoying to go against.

    The current Skull Merchant still can hold 3-gens and its even worse than before to play against, having one of the most complete basekits of the entire game with minimal effort. Its a slog to play against her, specially if she is 3-genning.

    Lets hope for the best with the changes.

    She can't 3 gen like she use to. @shizzy_Pooh in the OG post knows a lot more about her than I do. I honestly feel no matter how they make her the community will never be happy. Although I enjoy going against her. I genuinely feel like I am being hunted by her.

    what make you think they won't gut her? if you think back to any unfun for survivor, they have always consistently gutted characters that were perceived as unfun.

    Examples:

    Spirit with no sound in phase-walk → Considered unfun

    Deathslinger quickscope → Considered unfun

    Freddy with -Action speed build → Considered unfun

    Wraith with extended lunge and All-seeing blood →Considered unfun

    Billy with 2 charge reduction speed add-on → Considered unfun

    Clown with Exposed pinky finger & Tonic blinding → Considered unfun

    —-Almost every aspect of skull merchant kit on forum has been complained about.
    • Her haste gets complained about because it throws survivors off on distancing, Wow almost like you need adapt to the killer.
    • Her hindered gets complained about because you have to Leave loops
    • Her free injured mechanic+Broken status effect from trap gets complained about Leave loops
    • Her lock-on not regressing gets complained about due to 3 gens/War of Attrition.
    • Her stealth is complained about because her footsteps are silent.
    • Her drones get complained about because they automatic re-arm themselves every 45 seconds creating secondary objective and people complain about how she can replace disabled drones.
    All those aspects make her good. First two make her good at chase. The last two give her map control and pressure. The middle two make her 3 gen and her stealth very good. The only thing i haven't seen anyone complain about for skull merchant is her radar.

    I am fine with removing broken, but mending should stay so something happens even if survivor is already injured.

    Skull Merchant cannot hold a 3 gen stalling the game like before, but she can get downs easily while protecting a 3-gen area """""""abusing""""" the broken status + the haste she gets.

    I don't hate Skull Merchant in any way - i like her a lot - and i think most of the hate the community has for her is baseless but i see some issue in her kit that i which the devs could adress so everyone can have a nice time while she is the match.

    strangely enough, i have feeling that BVHR will not remove broken feature feature in her kit because they originally designed skull merchant to be generator defender killer. i highly doubt they will weaken the very aspect that they designed for her. if anything, they'll likely make her more 3 gen focused which will make survivor hate her even more like in the past but it will be weak 3 gen killer that easy to break.

    I don’t agree with 3 gen because she cannot camp gens like she used to at all, so 3 gen isn’t a reason to complain especially with the gen kicking mechanics they implemented, only thing that I think needs to be removed is the deep wound status affect and the broke status affect, everything else honestly should remain the same

    You.... You can turn off the drones? She has to physically walk over to set them up. There are four survivors. It's pretty trivial to keep her occupied while gens get pressured. She doesn't have any mobility.

    well they also pushed out 2 versions of her that should have clearly been reconsidered….

    3 gen was not fun and there is nothing fun about holding you at a loop because it's unsafe to leave but also unsafe to stay

    She's fine as she is and im not looking forward to the potential gutting of her to appease the whining. She's an M1 killer with no mobility, you just get punished for looping her more than once in the same spot. It's not hard to avoid drones, its not hard to hold W to the next tile. People just don't want to learn to play against her because the standard looping tactics dont work on her as well.

    They made a mistake? Okay. It happens. They likely didn’t realize what it would do until it played out.

    Somethings just have to play out for a bit, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what they do. People will always complain about her.
