It is unfair and hurtful to us as queer players for you to make a song and dance about how much we are loved and welcome in the DBD space, then get this license and then silence us when we dare to mention we are sad, hurt and disapproving at this decision.
I know many people are happy about this license and more power to them, but you are literally silencing people over this, which feels cheap and double-standardish after all the hype you make about us LGBTQ people.
Please acknowledge this instead of silencing us

I think the mods’ hands are tied on this.
There’s a forum rule about not allowing politics in the discussions, and the whole issue with FNaF is political. Like, actually political.

As stated the mods don't have a choice in this and can't do anything about this decision, if you're upset about this (I am too, trust me, I don't like it either as a queer gamer myself), bring it to BHVR. Politically charged discussions like this, and yes it IS Political despite being about human rights, don't belong here. It's too easy to cause severe ragebaiting, trolling, and even could attract bigots looking to hurt people to the forums to mess with others. It's just not a good idea and creates more arguments than needed.

There was a demand (although I have no interest in it) for this franchise to join DBD. They did the math and decided to do it. For the same reason I still read and enjoy Harry Potter, I expect people will enjoy Five Nights regardless of the politics OUTSIDE the IP. That's it; that is all there is to it. I'm not going to write you an essay, although this topic could certainly support one, but I am to be clear, for many people they are able to separate the art from the artist and do not want to make politics their entire lives. Some people just want to read books and play video games. They can be good people, people who agree with you on issue, but do not leave and breath, 24/7, politics. I say give them and Behavior a break.

The mods are rightfully (according to forum rules) closing these topics. But if you ask me theyre being generous in both how long they're allowing them to stay open, and in that they're only closing the topics and not outright deleting them. No one is being silenced in this regard, things said haven't been redacted (except for the odd coment that legit breaks rules on hate speech).

the problem is that when you say "if you're upset, bring it to BHVR". but like, how? if not here?
obviously we want to bring this to bhvr's forums, so that they'll see it. but then, doing so breaks the forum rules. not only are the moderator's hands tied, so are ours, to an extent. and until there's an official and public response saying that they've heard us, neither side gets to stop.
it sucks.
and in the meantime, there's bigots taking shots at queer people all the while, all over the forum.

The problem is the Devs aren't going to see this, and the forum is still not the place to discuss politics. Address them to BHVR directly. And both sides can stop at any time, just neither is willing TO stop and try to address it in a more direct manner than posting on the forums and stirring the pot.
And yes, it really does suck.
You need to send these concerns via email to BHVR directly, there's a method for that. Here is REALLY not the place. What you actually want to do is submit a report via email by going here, not posting on the forums and stirring up another avenue for toxicity that causes a place for bigots taking potshots to congregate. Remember to follow up on your emails when they respond promptly, or they close the ticket within 72 hours.The Mods have stated as have the rules that this forum is not for politics or political discourse. If you're seeing bigots taking potshots on the forums, flag the comment, don't give them attention by pointing out they exist.
I am very tired of living in interesting times, I just want to play my Slasher game without too much of the same bigotry I face daily as a queer, female, autistic gamer being there or on the forums I discuss the game in. I care. We all care. I just am sick of always being expected to care 24/7, and I expect others are the same. Empathy fatigue is real.
