Question to players that play console and PC

Is it just me, or do you experience horrible input lag for skill checks ONLY on console versions of the game? It also doesn't matter which version you're playing, Series X, PS5, Switch (Unsurprisingly). There is always a noticeable lag for when you want to hit the skill check. On PC, you hit the skill check right as the dial is on the great zone and you'll hit it, but on console? You have to hit it early but this can screw you over if the game decides that you hit it too early, missing the skill check and sometimes throwing the game.

This also has nothing to do with my monitor, wired vs wireless controllers, I've tested this with my PC (60fps btw, same as the current gen consoles) and all my consoles using the same setup, which means same internet connection, same monitor, and same controllers when possible.

This problem seems to have gotten worse from the PS4 and Xbone era. How is that even possible?? Am I crazy?

This has been reported as a bug and survivor moment speed issues ( moving slower then should be) and the response was that it's not a bug

Worst input lag is when playing on Switch. Input lag is less on PS4. When I play on PC (with a PS4 controller, I do not like using the keyboard), there's practically no input lag.

I have to readjust each time I switch between platforms.

So this is well known, but isn't considered a priority at all? Is the community really just ok with having such a huge disadvantage for playing on console (on top of strictly no keyboard and mouse support)?

I get that we have cross progression now, but that's no excuse to have such inferior versions of the game available on hardware that while somewhat outdated, can run worse than a PC with even lower specs.

just based on what I just read, with 60fps, I’m certain this will happen on mostly any device, the higher the frame rate, I would guess it to be much easier to hit skill checks at a better rate

Yes since mine runs at 30fps the skillchecks move at like 10 fps

No. I and many others have complained about input lag, lack of controller options/settings, and performance issues for years. We are not at all okay with it.

BHVR have made little if any progress fixing console performance. It mostly just gets worse over time.
