Hackers put my trust on check

So today I got in a match with two hackers in SA servers (which is where I play). It is quite a rare thing to be fair in here, as I have played for over 5 years and besides this episode, I only recall seeing someone "hacking" once prior to this and I also can't be 100% on that previous case.

The worst part of the already ######### situation (them taking the game hostage and stuff) is that, after the match, I found that one of them had left a comment on my profile. In the game, they both had the icon that indicates they're from a different platform, which I guess was Epic since they sent messages in the post game chat as well. Still, I had a message sent during the match in my profile by someone with a name just like one of the players on the lobby. This was the thing that put a sour taste in my mouth and made me close the game.

I always keep the privacy settings on to have some peace and avoid griefing and stuff, since we know all sorts of people play this game and sadly quite a lot tend to be very toxic. Realising that regardless of that, someone had access to my username and thus profile, put me really off. I had the belief that when the game said "your name and profile won't be shown", they meant it. I had a false sense of trust that I was to an extent secure, but now I highly doubt that.

Depends which option you use in the settings. The "Hide My Name" option still reveals your name on the match scoreboard at the end, so anyone could just look you up on the relevant platform. Using "Anonymous Mode" will completely hide you from anyone (other than friends), and you name will be replaced with your character's during the match and on the scoreboard, thus no one should be able to track you.

I know, in fact I use them both plus the matchmaking delay just in case, that was one of the things that left me even more messed up at that point…
