Michael Myers is getting two of his own video games

According to the official release, the games will allow players to "relive moments from the film and play as classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time."

So Bhvr does this mean we might have a shot at getting Dr. Loomis as a survivor in Dbd now?

Hell, it could mean, much like Stranger Things did at one time, As WELL As, never returning. Because another developer has their licensed. We might lose Myers. (Not likely but still)

I credit the Halloween movie people with more sense than Netflix (who took their stuff back after like what a year?).

Halloween was the first major license to trust Dbd with their characters. Its been mutually beneficial. Michael Myers helped put Dbd on the map. He's been one of their most popular killers for 8 years. I don't see them ending a good relationship like that.

Shame the same can't be said about the Lil guttersnipes with Nightmare on Elm Street and Robert Englund's likeness of Freddy.

But also, going back to wanting Dr. Loomis. I am now just imagining his old and worn-out tired running from killers, wondering how far worse the other's are than Myers to him lol

How old is Bill exactly? If he can handle it, Loomis will be fine.

here’s hoping they aren’t generic asymmetrical games that get shut down a year later

Don't forget that there was also a TCM game and Evil dead game. We didn't lose the characters attached to those licenses. From the sounds of it, this game SOUNDS like a single player experience too, so it's not like it's in direct competition with DBD.

I don't get why these video games have us "relive moments from the film". I've seen those moments, they're in the film. Give us something new.

Man, I hope Carpenter can help with the game, but I was disappointed with what they did to Myers in the last movie… and Carpenter was happy with the turnout of that so, I don't have a whole lot of confidence on his inclusion. Still excited overall though.

It's because the ones that will be the most interested in the game and can generate the most buzz are fans— likely long-time fans that want to roleplay and live out what they would do in the environment they're familiar with. LIke, playing Myers on the Nostromo or in a saloon is pretty ridiculous to a die hard fan. DBD Myers is ok, but goofy. Playing a "true to life sim" as Myers or a knitting needle wielding Laurie is akin to rail fans nerding out in Train Simulator. I've been waiting on a decent video game adaptation for the Halloween franchise for a really long time. I hope it's good, and true to the movie— the original one.

You know you can have both. Fans get a kick out of doing classic scenes from the movies.
