New items and status effects NEED to come out

Its been awhile since we got any news on items/ status effects and they have so much potential, secondary items just got implemented and there are so many opportunities for variants of the current items that could be used to help with more playstyles rather then generator repairs and movement speed.

And the same logic applies to status effects, good or bad; having more status effects rather then reusing the same 6 and making you unlock them on different conditions is boring. Plus this would possibly buff weaker killers and add variety to survivors

I think a good starting point would be to begin with the deafen status effect and other types of flashbangs, since both are already in game just usually unobtainable

    Yes, I've always thought Deafened was wasted potential. It is only found via Flash Bangs (& firecrackers, party starters, etc.), the Hag's Disfigured Ear add-on, and the perk Knock Out - which only deafens you after you're already downed…

    I also think there should be an item or perk that causes the appearance of glyphs, so as to implement them beyond tome challenges. Like if a player activates a glyph, they'll receive a 25% boost to bloodpoint scoring in a certain category - or universally. It could be either a killer or survivor perk and useable by whoever finds it. Maybe a quasi-altruistic perk like Hoarder, with a nominal side-effect.

    Firecrackers and Refined serums should be put as normal items that you can get from the bloodweb and in chests.

    As much as adding new stuff makes it harder for new players to learn the game, I feel like a game as old as this, needs to keep adding new mechanics to keep the game fresh for veterans.

    Adding new status effects would open up new possibilities for perks and killer powers. So that would be cool.

    I agree. I also think they nailed how the Deafened status effect affects a Survivor. I always think it's satisfying whenever I get affected by it. The game feels quite different in terms of sounds and general feel, especially during chase.

    As I've said before, this requires courage, the devs are playing it extremely safe with the new additions to the game, which in turn makes everything way less exciting

    I still want them to split toolboxes into two items: One for gen repair and one DEDICATED to sabotage, maybe even be able to repair a wall or something idk.

    Definitely not repair pallets though, don't need multiple god pallet repairs.

    Deafened should be explored more.

    Firecrackers should also be a full-on item, then even already have add-ons for them in the files.

    Also a status effect of my own making:

    Amnesia: Removes the HUD entirely for a set amount of time.
