2v8 significantly increased the competitiveness of 1v4
2v8 was a casual game mode that attracted casual players. This splitted the player base. Casual players played 2v8 while competitive and sweaty players played 1v4. Now that the queues are merged again, there is a very noticeable reduction in the skill level of players. The survivors I'm getting now have 0 idea how to loop and go down in less than 30 seconds. I'm getting baby survivors and effortlessly winning every game. This isn't me but we play on the same server and had the same experience. Check out this stream. Survivors were losing at 4-5 gens and giving up extremely frequently. The difference is night and day.

No 2v8 disnt increase 1v4 competitiveness it was always sadly made competitive it just seems more because of how 2v8 was more casual even though some people were taking 2v8 too serious also. Also because everyone was playing 2v8 I think people's 1v4 MMR decayed a lot hence the baby survivors and killers. I noticed that with me but it eventually evened out after a bit of playing for me on both sides.

I did notice a shift in my games getting harder then easier again admittedly... I wondered if it was just me 😅
My meme builds were kinda getting stomped... now they're not 😶😶😶

I have survivors giving up constantly since 2v8 ended.
Could be also caused by me playing Legion, but I had people fumble in every single game I played.

No, the game was always this competitive because the community has decided this is a game you have to hardcore dominate in like CoD, or you're just not good enough.
I've seen my games easier since 2v8 ended, actually. Lots of nice Killers or baby Killers. Not a lot of super great Survs.

Same. Far more DCs. This isn't me but we play on the same server. Check out the 2nd half of the stream. People DCing far more than usual.
It isn't placebo. There is a very noticeable drop in skill level of surviors after 2v8 ended. This isn't me but we play on the same server and had the same experience. Check out this stream. Survivors were losing at 4-5 gens and giving up extremely frequently. The difference is night and day.
