90% of the perks in this game are useless!
What is the point of adding all these new perks when the current ones aren't good at all, Its just vaporware. Not to mention the amount of power creeping and perks that completely replace other perks

honestly that’s just how the game is
I do kinda wish they’d do a giant perk update again and do like 50 of them on each side

I would say… 20% are really strong, 60% - are niche, and 20% are borderline useless.
Some of the perks feels like worse version of existed ones.

They did that huge perk update like…a year ago
I was kind of hoping that was a sign of things to come because there are a lot of meh perks but alas…

They know whether or not a perk will be good, make something interactive but also cool and fun like that potentional energy perk, alot of these perks are just smoke and mirrors,

Aren't they buffing more perks this year?

They're doing like 20 this midchapter I think.

I think i speak for all when i say i want perks that change the game and make it more interesting

I mean, that's what happens when you design perks around a theme, not so much around balance.

I think this sentiment is maybe a little unfair. Most perks in this game have pretty reasonable use cases, even if some of them might be a little on the weaker side.
If we're just looking at recent perks, we've had a fair few perfectly good and usable ones. If we're just looking at perks from beyond a year or so ago, we definitely have quite a few good ones. Most perks in this game are really perfectly usable.
There's a slight asterisk that goes on this for the killer side since which perks are good/viable is gonna depend on what killer you're playing, but even then almost all killers have good variety of usable perks.

No, 90% of the game's perks aren't autowins that fit your style. That's all.

You don't need to be rude about it. Didn't Chaos Shuffle prove you could do some crazy things with perks nobody ever would seriously consider?
0 -
Yes, but only as long as both sides had perks nobody would ever seriously consider.
It's much easier to pull off a wacky combo of perks, when the other side is also trying to get value from similar wackiness.3 -
Sure it is, if you are trying to win. I am really glad BHVR is taking the time to look at older weaker perks and fix them a bit. Now perks like Furtive Chase, once a useless perk, can have some use.

Honestly I'm fine with most of the perks being useless. It makes the game much more bearable for casual players like myself who actually have other responsibilities in life other than playing DbD all day every day. It's nice that I don't have to spend hours a day studying and learning all the perks and how to use them counter them - I only have to learn a smaller pool of the most frequently used perks. I hope it stays this way. The game is already overwhelming enough for new and casual players who can't keep up with the constant torrent of new content.

Keeping the tradition I suppose. All killers/survivors came with 3 perks from the beginning and I guess they want to keep going with it. There's a lot of perks that are too situational and you'll almost never see. Not everything needs to be super amazing but I don't think there's a good middle area of perks. It's either Super good/meta or pretty bad/Niche.

Yeah there is no in-between, either it's trash or super good now

Instructions unclear, devs have decided to nerf pig
