Tip for all reshade/filter users
You're still likely to be able to adjust gamma through either your PC's control panel, or from the displays settings themselves. Even a lot of cheap monitors have settings for different gammas, typically they use 2.2, so if you find the game too dark, you could use something like 2.0 or 1.8 if you can find it. On Nvidia at least (not sure about AMD), it's possible to adjust it through the control panel, and neither of these methods are bannable.
And of course, outside of DBD I'd recommend setting these settings to their defaults, so regular content will look correct. Normally you don't need to mess with these, but DBD doesn't have an invidual gamma setting, and the game is intentionally too dark, so it's understandable to want to adjust gamma for the game in my opinion. *Yeah, I've only found out now that all this time I've been using 2.2 gamma, since my monitor doesn't support SRGB gamma with SDR. Now that I've found out I can actually use SRGB gamma by enabling HDR and viewing SDR content, this game was probably made with SRGB gamma in mind. My bad.

Good tip, but it will not help some of the … features … "no one is using ever" to get some unfair advantage.

Two very different crowds on the filter thing. Those that need it to actually play, and those that use it as a weapon.
Its pretty clear where a lot of people stand lol.

… and asking paying customers for such a roundabout way of making the game playable is plain unreasonable.
It works, yes - and I appreciate you trying to help. - It doesn't make it any less unreasonable though. Sadly, I also don't think it will be not necessary any time soon, looking at how many years it took to implement an AA-switch…

BVHR doesn't own reshade. They are under no obligation to make sure new updates work with reshade.

That is absolutely correct. - I never claimed bhvr had that obligation.
If anything I claim that bhvr has an obligation to provide adequate graphics settings instead of making paying customers change their hardware's settings to make their game playable.0
