Recent Prestige change
Exactly what I hoped wouldn't happen has happened.
Keep the lobby as is, not showing prestige there to avoid lobby dodging is fine. Seeing it at the end, wow amazing. Can we please still see it when we're in the invited lobby bit! That's all I wanted to stay when the change was announced to be happening because me & my friends like being able to show each other the prestige change. Besides why would it matter if we can see each other's prestige till we end up in an actual lobby?
Please bring this back at least, it feels kind of silly prestige-ing now otherwise.

Showing the Prestiges in a SWF lobby before loading into the full lobby, absolutely no problem let's do that. But in the full lobby, I'm glad it's gone. Anything to discourage lobby shopping in either role.

It feels like such a silly thing to get rid of. But in a lobby totally makes sense because lobby dodging did indeed happen & for any number of reasons. Prestige too low, NAH or Prestige too high, HELL NO
I agree with that change completely, to get rid of it when you're just inviting the SWF together though, what's wrong with that? Y'know.

No because I do not want to have the p300 squad see I am playing my p1 Feng-Min and dodge me. That isn't fair. :(

Well, it is true, now lobbies have totally lose all useful information about teammates level, are full of anonymous without distinction or nicknames (except cosmetics, maybe they will hide them too until the trial starts…).
But thanks God, we still have a last way to select and/or dodge a lobby…
With this broken thing called MMR (& particularily when I'm playing killer) I'm forced to use it bc I'm tired to face on only new players with expensive cosmetics but no gameplay…0 -
I don't know if you're joking but if we put this into 3 parts, reverse order you've got Endgame (prestige shows up here as usual), Lobby (survivors lobby up with a killer, can't see prestige anymore which is good), Invite Lobby, the bit before that where you can Invite your friends in (that's the part I want to still be able to see the prestige in, it's harmless & still allows friends to see each other prestige). The pre-lobby lobby as it were makes no sense to have removed it, removing prestige from the Lobby before loading into a game was completely fine as it does do as intended.

Yea I mean its 100% worse, totally called it.
Im getting held hostage by people that are trying to get adepts where I would recognize and leave the lobby before.
Possibly the dumbest change that helps noone.1 -
The entire point of the change is to lessen the reasons to lobby dodge and shop in the first place, reinforcing the matchmaking.

How does me playing with people that are just going to hide and int their team so they can get their adept hatch help anything?

But your friends can see it in the endscreen anyway, why do SoloQers need to see my prestige? Why does the Killer?

There are three areas where prestige could be seen. The first area is the invite lobby. You could also call it the pre-lobby lobby. It's where SWF hang out and wait to get into the second area where prestige was shown, a pre-match lobby. The pre-match lobby is public, it's where you'll be grouped with other unknown players and the killer. Finally, prestige is/was shown on the end game screen.
The original poster wants people's prestiges shown in that first area. The area where only friends can see it. They have clearly stated they do not want it shown in the general public lobby where solo players and killers could see it.

Oh I misunderstood then. I don't see why that's an issue. But maybe BHVR could not remove it from lobbies without removing it from everything. It could all be the same code.

There have been so many other threads where people still want prestige shown to "flex" on strangers or so lobby dodging can continue that it's easy to misread this particular post.
It could all be the same code.
Personally, I believe this is probably the case, that elements of the SWF lobby share the same code as the pre-match public lobby and it would take a bit (or a lot) of extra coding to make them behave differently. It would be nice if BHVR did it, though.

It's only been a couple of days. I'd say we need to give it at least a month to see if matchmaking improves. Also a new chapter just came out, so yeah, the first week is typically people trying for adept. The whole point of the change was to stop lobby dodging and see if matchmaking accuracy improves. So if it's stopping you from lobby dodging then it sounds like it's working lol

I mean what they really need to do is include more information not less.
I should see the perks, items, and possibly what archives my teammates are running.
Or I run into something stupid like this:
I saw the person swap to a key last second. Now I wont say what happened in that match, but lets just say they never got to use their key.0 -
Yeah I know, that's what I'm assuming unfortunately too. I'd hope it could be altered though. It just kinda sucks thinking you'd prestige only to see it in the Endgame. At least with your friends it's cool to see each others prestiges but absolutely it's good that it then disappears when you actually lobby up.
