This is the lowest ive ever seen on release.

Played 10 matches so far, havent seen a SINGLE dracula. This is the bad thing about updating other killers during a release. I have seen dredge, nemesis(3x), nurse (3x), doctor (2x) and a spirit.

I dont think you should be updating killers during a release, especially when its a clunky meh killer. If its someone like wesker you can update 10 other killers and everyone will still play him.

This is also why you cant ever again release a survivor achievement that is to X thing against Y killer like you did with vecna. I maintain 100% achievements and that was a nightmare. Now it would be damn near impossible, I havent seen a vecna in over 100 matches.

I don't see him to the extent I saw previous chapter killers tbh. There's definitely some gaps between games where I won't see him as opposed to Vecna, Chucky, etc. that you'd have consecutive games with them

I have seriously played the game since pyramid head ( I have owned the game since release but didnt really play until then ) and this is by FAR the lowest ive seen.

It will only get worse from here.

Updating other killers should be saved for midchapter.

Well I mean everybody has different experiences. Maybe the killer players you faced did not feel to play him or sought chance to buy DLC in discounted price like me.

It says a lot. First off its a whole new killer, there should be excitment to play him but I have gone against 10 killers who have rathered play killers that have been out nearly since the game released.

The problem imo is hes not fun to play. Ive already done the achivements tied to him and dropped him. I totally get why these killers I have gone against arent playing him.

    Its a bad sign.

He is fine, but I am no longer in hype as I used to be.

That means when new shiny characters and perks come in, I usualy try them quickly and then switching back between new and old. I dont want to play just same character over and over again even if its new. I think his pickrate will be good since he is new, you might be unlucky.

I would play him more but wolf form feels so slow i just usually use bat form and hellfire. Hellfire has a slow wind up too..

U didnt see Dracula because he is frustrating to play, a lot cooldowns and his power is to weak against experience survivors

Dredge, nemesis and doctor received changes, so people want to try them

Nurse and spirit are the only viable killers at the top level which continues to get worse and worse with each patch as they continue to nerf gen defense.

Honestly, there's not much reason to buy a killer on release unless you really like the license. Given that practically every new killer is expected to see some adjustments within the year of release, it's better to wait and see.

He's very underwhelming, completely unplayable on high mmr sadly

DId you read my post? Why did you tell me that as if I didnt know? I literally said these killers got changes, and if you're going to release a meh killer you shouldnt update other killers until the midchapter so people play the new one instead of wanting to try old ones.

I literally said that in the post you quoted. It was the entire point I was making…

Ive had 4 more matches since this post, still 0 dracula. Very bad sign.

If the 15 or so survivor games I've played since the latest chapter, about 10 of them have been Dracula.

    Seems rather popular to me.

  • solarjin1
    solarjin1 Member Posts: 2,236

20 matches is kinda insane. I guess he just popular in my area idk. Could be a mmr thing as well. Maybe he not popular in the higher brackets?? i just guessing at this point

I want to be clear. I'm not exaggerating or joking.

I just played 3 more matches and they were nurse, spirit and knight.

I might literally have to play a custom with friends to go again him at this rate since it'll get worse with time.

As I said this is why they can't make achievements based on a survivor vsing a specific killer.

I've faced him plenty, that's really unusual. Had a few other killers scattered in there but he's been pretty consistent for me.

As long as I don't get the usual rotation of Huntress/Legion/Huntress/Huntress/Blight/Legon/Nurse/Huntress/Huntress/Huntress I'm usually pretty happy with a bit of variety.

I've personally already benched Dracula. His gameplay is slow & frustrating with very little flow. The novelty wore off very fast and he's probably going going down the same route as Freddy i.e after a week you'll see him once in a blue moon.

It's a shame really as Dracula is arguably the most iconic horror icon of all time. Can't bash them for trying, but save the experimentation for non licensed killers and start giving iconic licensed killers the attention they deserve. Too many times it's happening these days when licensed killers are either nerfed into oblivion or just left to rot at the bottom of the pile without any changes. If I was the person/company who granted the rights to use the killer in game I would be pretty annoyed.

Wesker was probably the last really good killer that was released that hasn't been overly nerfed to the point of extinction. I would rather have 1 licensed killer per year that is released with unique good solid gameplay than half finished killers who become obselete in less than a month.

As I said, I maintain 100% achievements and 100% challenges. I have done them all for drac and have now benched him too. I agree 100% with you. I am NOOOOOOOOOT looking forward to doing challenges with him in the next tome.

To be clear, I dont blame these killers at all. He and hag are the only killers in the game that dont feel good to play, imo ofcourse. All the others feel good to me. I love playing the lower picked killers like artist, twins, all of them. They still feel good.

Ive just given up wanting to go against him. I have had matches after my last post, was against a legion, 3x ghostface, knight, doctor, nemesis, nurse, blight. I wish I was a TTV so I could prove it because I know it sounds unbelievable but I am now up to nearly 30 matches and havent seen him once DURING RELEASE WEEK. This is also at all times of the day. I have NEVER seen this before. All I can do is provide some screenshots to prove I play this game a lot, I am not bsing.

    As I have said multiple times this is why;

A, You shouldnt be updating old killers when a clunky new one comes out. People want to try out the old ones instead. A MASSIVE issue is the old killers that felt ok before now feel excellent. Dredge and nemesis are now really snappy and fun.

B, BHVR - you CANNOT create achievements like "hand eye co-ordination" I am not exaggerating when I say ( I play literally everyday ) I have not gone against a vecna since 1 week after his release. I only have that achievement because the vecna on launch was really chill.

Much of the time since he has come out its also been killer bonus. This is so rare for a new killer launch.

Bit of an update. I have played 3-6 matches per day since his release.

I still have not seen dracula ONCE. I am not kidding.

This is why there must never again be a vs a specific killer achievement

Dracula is a killer that requires good precision to be effective. Playing him on mouse and keyboard is faaaaaar easier than on controller, both for aiming the flame pillars and the wolf form. Since there is a substantial console playerbase, it's not too surprising the more console friendly killers are getting attention too.

I've tried to use him multiple times, and I've had games where I've done passably well, but I'm finding him much harder to pick up compared to other killers. I got lucky on him for the adept on my first ever game on Midwich, literally squeezed a win by the tiniest of margins... but a single miss at the end and I would have been donzeso... and since then, even with numeorus builds, I haven't actually got better than a 2k in a game since, and a few of them I've been bullied pretty bad.

Its really hard to get a feel for his pillars, you can't seem to adjust them as you through them, they fire wherever you were pointing as you hit the trigger, and since its on a delay, your aim has to be really good to make sure you hit... normally you can compensate for aiming issues on console by aiming on console and then strafing to correct your aim, on Huntress I do this a lot to be decently effective with hatchets.... but if you do this on Dracula, you're too slow, your raw aim on the analogue stick has to be good enough on its own, which makes him tough for console.

In the wolf form you have to jump in the timing of the ability, you can't jump, turn, and jump again like you can on Wesker, and on controller we cant effectively hug tech cause we'd have to play on a super high sense to do it. So bounding with the wolf around a tile is like trying to play old Hillbilly, you just can't turn fast enough, and even if you can, you are still likely to miss…

Like you can play Dracula on controller and be OK, but its in that camp of killers where you just can't be as effective on a pad as you can M&K, and using your abilities more often than not is a total crap shoot.

Based on a few polls and things it isn't unlikely that approximately 60% of the playerbase is on console... so console killers would likely be more interested in the changes to killers like Nemesis and Dredge, who are more console accessible.

I've seen a lot of Dracula's myself, some of them can't seem to miss, others are really struggling to get even 3 or 4 hooks.

I have been playing as survivor many days and seeing many Draculas since it came out.

If i play 7-8 matches, at least 4-5 of them are against Dracula.

Yeah you're right. Im lying. Sorry guys the game is up, I cant continue this lie anymore, I made enough money off it to retire.

I knew people would figure out I was lying eventually, I have gone up against 100% draculas in reality.

I can't remember exactly when I faced him the last time, must have been 4 or 5 days. I only see him when I give him another try, but that's a max. of two, maybe three times, then I am too frustrated by the clunkyness and the bullying because survivors finally got a new killer that they don't need to be afraid off.
