I am Australian. Why do you keep putting me with red ping chinese and singapore ? Why cant you let me opt out of this nonsense and have longer wait times to get put with people who
A, I can understand in post game chat instead of seeing 无恶不作无恶不作无恶不作无恶不作无恶不作
B, Dont lag me so bad I cant hit anything
Its just making me have to spend so long dodging lobbies when I see the chinese characters in their name.
Why cant there be a region selector, and I click a button to say yes I agree to wait longer for a match that has less than 200ms ping instead of the 30 I could be having? Id literally have more fun vsing bots if you let me earn bloodpoints and do challenges with them.
The queue times are instant for me, so thats even more frustrating.

It's telling that BHVR slipped this change in without patch notes and have made no comment on the complaints. We only know it's intended from a bug report email reply.

yes but it’s excruciatingly frustrating to the point where some of us can’t stand playing. Having proper ping when looping is so critical to the game experience

Exactly, its just making me not want to play tbh.
If i cant understand them and they make the game hard to play, why not let me earn things against bots and ill just vs them
The worst part is 4/5 of us can be australian, but the entire match will lag for the chinese person, it must put all of us on their server.

You know the game used to have peer 2 peer matchmaking? So as killer ud have survivors closest to u match to ur lobby so ping would be much less of an issue.
I preferred it for both sides. But hey, gotta cater to the 1st world. Who else is gonna buy skins?

They had to change it because it was a big security risk. You could see everyones' IP via CMD.

Isn't it still possible to find players IP? Thats why many were using VPN when the news came out a while back.

This isn't new. Ever since dedicated servers were implemented, I've been queueing into Asian servers from the west coast in the off-hours. It's very annoying and one of the reasons why I stopped playing solo. I've been asking for region filters for years. I'd rather wait 10 minutes than go next.

Yeah, but it's not nearly as easy. Frankly I don't know how to do it, but I know it was a thing a couple years ago. Back when it was P2P, anyone could check with a simple command. And with how petty some people can be, I think it was a safe move.. albeit ######### at the same time, for us.
Edit- Also, ask anyone how it was to face huntress back then, and it was bliss. One of my favorite killers to vs. ######### that these days. You have to hope they're not VPNing or are really close to the servers.

I know streamers IP were released to hackers long ago to facilitate harassment and to endorse their hacks.
Nothing substantial came of it from my recollection.

Reason why it was changed was mainly because people were begging for it back then because of how common lagswitchers were
