Which killer would you choose?

The Entity tells you that you can change one killer. Which killer's suffering would you end and bring them to your side, and how would you do it?

Note : Only the humanoid ones are valid. And no, Nea will be excluded from these :)

hillbilly :( i know hes not exactly an innocent angel or anything, but i feel so bad for him and how he was treated. his tome cutscenes are genuinely hard to watch...his entire life was just so horribly messed up, and even though his actions are inexcusable, i feel a lot of empathy for him.

honestly im not sure how exactly to end his suffering, other than literally just erasing his memories... after that i guess he could become a survivor or just lurk around the void idk :') im not entirely certain how to answer that one at the moment. what i do know is...i wanna give him a big ol hug, let him know he's not alone and be a good friend to him (im built different so he totally wont just kill me anyway trust me)

That's a very nice approach. I'm not as knowledgeable about the killer's story as you are, but if I remember correctly, he was traumatized because of his appearance, right?

yes, he was born disfigured and his parents were ashamed of his appearance, ashamed of him and didn't want him...once they thought he was old enough to survive alone, they bricked him up in a room for years with only a tv to keep him company, feeding him old food through an opening in the wall. they wouldn't even call him by his name, only "boy"...he was abused by his parents and police officers and treated like he was worthless :( basically he was shunned his entire childhood and abused for being born deformed…

Billy. He had an awful life. Not sure how I would do it. I mean he endured years of abuse and is horribly disfigured. How do you change that.

    The Twins

They watched their mother burn alive, then were experimented on. Once they finally broke free, Victor was the one to pay the price. Charlotte then had to spend the rest of her life struggling to survive by scavenging for anything she could find, all while carrying her dead brother.

Their behavior is purely out of hatred only because thats all theyve been taught.

Definitely the Huntress. She basically desperately wants to be a mother but is very territorial and animalistic.

I can imagine how hard it would be to leave your dead mother behind and try to find your way home in the blistering cold with the tears streaming down your face turning to frost.

And then living off of the land through hunting and foraging as a child until an adult through those brutal winters.

    She needs a big hug🤗 😭

I bet if you told her she could have a child of her own she would switch up real quick lmao. Just better hope it’s a little girl or else you’ll probably get an axe to the back of the noggin😭🪓

Carmina (The Artist). The Entity cultists really screwed her over from the very beginning, and yet she resisted the Entity's pull even without even knowing it. She is a very strong and defiant character who got brutalized for standing her ground. She deserves justice and I'd really want to help her out because she has always been the one dragging herself out from the dark places.

However, she is probably also the most challenging Killers to rehabilitate because if she is given her sanity back, it might not be for long after she realizes that 1) she has been mutilated and can no longer paint, write poems or even speak, 2) she killed her friends in her last moments. This is mind-shattering.

However, if her inky powers will remain, it might motivate her to keep going — either to learn the secrets behind the realm and Fog (after all, she is a different being now, she might even find it beautiful) or to find a way back to our world, so she could be the vigilante protector of her homeplace or go after the Black Vale (if she feels vengeful). Or, maybe, help her find the alternative realm where she and Mathias are both alive and well, to give her some peace and let her know that somewhere, someplace, she has her little brother and she is happy. Maybe she'd even want to stay there, as their silent protector making sure this Carmina will never have to suffer like she did.

Wraith. If I recall he was tricked into killing or disposing of people by his boss. I need to check his lore again sry.

Yeah dude, I remember it very well. He had only taken a job to make a living. He had no idea that there were people inside the wrecked vehicles.

I've always connected the Artist's bond with the crows to The Entity's spies, even though no one really focuses on it, crows are quite powerful. I wonder if The Entity really gave her any special privileges. I'm very curious.

    Probably Plague aka Adiris.

From what I remember from her lore she never murdered or did anything evil to anyone but rather as a high priestress tried to save and help as many people as she could. When one woman got sick she even severed her own toe to make a blood offering to the gods to try and cure her. When the plague struck her town she continued to help, pray and feed her people and even exiled herself when she caught the plague herself.

When she was about to die and made a final prayer to the gods to save her people and city the entity heard, tricked and kidnapped her to its realm.

There are multiple "innocent" killers that got more or less tricked by the entity (like artist or billy) but I feel like plague deserves the most to get out since she arguably did the most good while she was still alive

I don't think that she has special privileges.

From the lore, it felt like Carmina was mostly the project by the Black Vale (cultists who worship the Entity) because they noticed the Entity's interest in her (the crows gathering around Carmina were a sign of the Entity watching her — maybe because of the accumulation of negative emotions around Carmina, the kind that would erupt into something murderous at at somepoint).

However, at the same time, if the Entity wants someone, it has little problems with saying "Yoink!" and teleporting them to its realm. It was more like they hoped to break Carmina, make her snap and do something drastic and make the Entity respond — they remotely succeeded in the end by taking away literally everything Carmina had in her life.

But, it's up to interpretation, whether the control over crows was granted by the Entity or was it part of Carmina's own abilities (since we have mystics like Mikaela and Haddie) amplified by the Entity. I think, it might be the latter because the Black Fog appeared after Carmina summoned the crows.

I particularly use the advantage of "Spies of the Shadows" when I play as the Artist. It’s almost like the Entity is saying, "My spies will cooperate with you." The Entity loves to spy and set up ambushes, often capturing its victims at their most desperate moments. I even recall that Freddy, just when he was cornering and about to kill Quentin, the Entity appeared behind Freddy and attacked both of them (i.e., it captured them). I’m not saying the Entity specifically favors the Artist, but it’s quite meaningful that the Entity’s unique spies are crows, given their abilities. Maybe it’s due to that cult that worships the Entity. Until the Archivist gives us concrete information, these will remain just theories. But damn dude, I love to ponder these things, come up with theories, and enjoy them!

The Wraith. It's not like Phillip was a violent person when before he was taken by the entity. Plus the wraith always looks upset
