In response to the price reduction of the OG 8 Characters

For what it's worth, I think this is an excellent change. It may not benefit anyone who already owns these characters, but it does benefit people new to dead by daylight and that's a big W.

One of the biggest barriers to entry for players new to Dead by Daylight is just how expensive it can be having to buy all these characters just to get access to semi-decent perks.

This is a good change Bhvr, and I just wanted to spread some positivity with this thread after seeing the post on twitter immediately attract complaints about how it provides no benefit to players who already own these characters. More players in the fog is good for everyone.

    I agree.

Obviously most of the meta will always be locked behind the DLC characters, unless you get lucky with the shrine that is, but it isn't bad to see content becoming a bit easier to access.

I'm glad that it happened, but I'm also a bit mad it didn't happen sooner, since I already bought Kate, Feng and Hag.

I’m confused there’s people actually mad about it?

These people would get pissed off at rainbow six siege then over the years operators usually go down 5000 of the ingame currency every season and a slight drop for the paid

The people who have owned the characters for years and are asking if they'll get compensated baffle me.

This is a good change and I'm glad it also applies to iri shards. I haven't re-purchased anything that I already own on Switch… not sure I ever will… but I'm more likely to repurchase with the lower iri shard prices.

    Believe it or not, yes.

Someone complained that since everyone already has the original eight characters, bhvr should give people more new characters.

Others want a partial refund of Auric Cells for already owning the characters.

Wholeheartedly agree. I bought all the characters for 9000 shards except for a few ones that I snagged when they had special iri price sales, which were rare and far and few inbetween before the regular iri sales we see on characters during anniversary and halloween. And yet, I don't need any compensation. I'm just happy that the grind is being lowered, it makes sense when there's so much content in the game already.

These iri shard price reductions are great for new players, and a very welcome addition. I remember the biggest frustration I had with DBD when I started was how long it took to grind for a new character.

    Keep it up!

They should probably just be included in the base game at this point, but it's better than nothing.

I'm not sure why anyone would pay auric cells for them anymore when it's only a minor iri shard grind.
