They gave 60secs of Endurance to survivors?

32ms of anti-camp range?

20% repair speed?????????

How is this fun for anyone???

Guess I'm not touching this ish. Good luck in lobby simulator guys. I advise killer players not to touch this crappy game mode. Idk what happened last Lights Out to warrant THESE kind of changes but holy heck I'm not touching this crap.

I actually enjoyed Lights Out last time but now... Nope.

unfortunately this mode either ends in a 4 man out where you never saw a single survivor for the entire match or a 4 man dead match where everyone died in 4 minutes.

    It’s just boring

I only played 2 games so far, both as a survivor, but it looks like there is little to no point in using the candelabras, which are basically the only thing that would help the killer in any way. So what's left are a bunch of survivor buffs, that aren't necessarily bad but they feel kind of unfair when you consider that killers got nothing in return.

Both matches I played, the survivors won oretty easily. I managed to get myself killed in the second game because the Myers caught me at the exit gate but the others got away without issue.

to me, it just seems like a mode that tests anti-camp and anti-tunnel changes. the 20% repair bonus is well over-kill. the 70 second gens is too much.

The game mode honestly is just very boring. Perks are part of what makes the game fun and interesting. I wouldn't mind never seeing it again.

This mode feels like they're testing speed running objectives for both sides.

Killers have basically nothing stopping them from camping and tunneling, which seems to be the takeaway from the first version of this mode. The modifier for AFC offsets the free stealth killers get (and used to camp hooks, surprise surprise), and even 30s of BT is far less than the anti tunnel perks would give.

Literally ALL of these changes gifted to Survivors are too much. In literally no way should Endurance be 60 seconds off the hook, anticamp be 32 meters (nearly THE ENTIRE MAP AROUND EVERY SINGLE HOOK, and some Killers can't even make it out of that range in time, are they serious?), and gens be 20% faster.

One or two of these changes would have been plenty. And Candelabras being able to snuff Killer info basekit? That's just an absolute kick in the nards for every Killer. Killers don't get to take away stuff Survivors have basekit like this, anywhere, ever. Why can Survivors do this? Why are we hard punishing Killers for losing gens at all when that is part of the game?

The killer can see gens. If you just follow the homing beacon gens you’re going to find survivors. The only way survivors escape is by completing gens. The killers I’ve seen have managed extremely well in Lights Out. You can still tunnel camp so the little buffs survivors receive are kind of inconsequential.

Even with the buffs, I found killer to be much easier. I never got below a 3k in any killer match, but solo queue survivor is a struggle. If you know the layout of the maps to keep obstacles in your way and listen for survivors you can potentially get a gen grab or at least close enough for a hit. The killer you pick may also make a difference too, playing as survivor I had a hard time hearing some like Dracula (in vampire form), Doctor, and Bubba. They were really quiet when compared to Trapper and Legions loud breathing or Dredge running around with a vaccuum cleaner. Sound is very important in this mode for both sides.

"Little" buffs? 20% extra gen speed, 60 seconds of endurance after getting unhooked and double the range of the AFC are not little. That is substantial. Also, the survivors don't need to use the candles, so there really is no "homing beacon". Not to mention that it also marks that gen for survivors. Calling these buffs inconsequential is a bit dishonest. They don't completely eliminate the possibility of tunneling and camping but they do make both of them much more risky.

I only played a total of 4 matches so far, all as survivor, and I escaped 3 times. The one time I didn't escape was still a win for my team. In all 4 matches I played, the survivors won. I reckon this is not enough for a real conclusion to the balance of this mode but it does support the feeling that survivors have the upper hand.
