Show prestiges in pre lobby
There is no reason not to show them in pre lobby. People are going to be in pre lobby usually with just friends waiting to find match. I would imagine people want to see their friends dedication to the character and game.

Some people seem to think that Prestige equals skills, because of that many killers upon seeing high prestige lobbies would leave, increasing queue times for both the survivors and killers

OP is talking about pre-lobby, though. It's a lobby you only see if you're putting together a SWF. No harm in showing prestiges there.
Lobby shopping is when you leave a lobby to get better looking teammates or weaker looking opponents, based on prestige, cosmetics, held items, and certain signs that might signify a SWF.

What that has to do with friends seeing each other prestiges in pre lobby when waiting to find match/lobby? I already know my friend prestiges just about so there is no reason to hide it.

Good someone understood and yeah no harm is done showing it with friends in pre lobby. I imagine the reason is technical one and they would have to change code so that's why they hide prestiges from all lobbies but I imagine it's not too hard to change though just some extra work.

Lot of people want to show their friends when the number changes in pre lobby. They can ofcourse tell it but it's so much more lame...

So you're strictly talking people on your friends list? Not the Killer and not solo randoms? That's fine if that's what you want but other than that it hurts the game

Pre lobby is before you have found match so only people you play with would see it. Killer or ramdoms will not be able to see it.

No objection to that. Possibly just an oversight that the devs will fix.

I prefer the option to show and hide prestige in settings, even at the end of the game prestige is still hidden.

they probably can’t code it but yes with swf it should show it

Yeah this is the issue. It's either the prestiges are shown for all, or now shown for all, in any lobby. That's the coding.

Yeah I have though it has something to do with coding but I imagine it's not too difficult to fix. Same as the bp bonus when they added 400% for survivor in 2vs8 and they had to disable bonus for 1vs4 as they could not put separate bonuses. That is getting fixed at least.

It might be a priority thing too. They'd have to spend time and resources messing around with something less than half of all survs would even possibly ever see.
