Should Jeepers Creepers be in dbd? I think he might be a perfect fit.

As much as I would like him in the game, I don't think they'll ever add it because of.. some reasons, if you know what I mean

Jeepers Creepers is horror, so it fits the bill for sure.

Does it fit? Maybe. Should it be in DBD? Absolutely not.

Why not? It would be actually cool to see him in the game. I dont know about of his creator story, but nothing could be that bad to cancel this potential cool collab

Jeepers Creepers is one of the very few horror properties that was given hard no due to its director being a thoroughly vile man.

The creator is a despicable human being, so

Didn't Jeepers Creepers get a reboot under a new director? I heard that somewhere before. Maybe that'd be a way to do them without going to the previous.

Thing is, bringing the franchise into the game is advertising for his work. People would go watch the original trilogy, just like they did when both Chucky and Pinhead entered the game. Lots of players had never seen their movies and ran to watch them. It still brings attention to and demand for the guy's original work, even if he did allegedly sell the rights (which there hasn't been alot of clarity around tbh, no one knows the details of the deal).

I think that giving a spotlight and Chapter space to the creation of a man convicted of sexual assault on a 12 year old boy, particularly when the creation in question is a direct reflection of his desires to sexually abuse children and teenagers, is a bad thing actually.

Apparently the first few films were also written by him. Besides, no matter if it’s rebooted under different people, it’s still gonna be attached to his name.

well the creator of him was a pdf file

Can you please put this in spoilers? It took my breath away to read the bold/italicized text. I am in complete agreement with you but the statement was triggering.

Done, hopefully. The forums have the world's weirdest markdown and it took me a while to figure it out lol. Same boat as you, though, that statement was not fun to write and less fun to research.

And I believe while he did sell the license, he still receives royalties from the property (this is what I read some time ago). So even if he is not technically linked to the franchise he would financially benefit from its inclusion in DBD. It is my understanding that a lot of game studios refuse to make a Jeepers Creepers game because of his crimes, which he has been very nonchalant about.
