Is there ever a chance we could get overhead prestiges back in pre-game lobbies?

I'm probably not the first to ask this as its something I really enjoyed being able to see in game. Is there any possibility we could get this back with the option of hiding your prestige if you feel it negatively effects you similar to anonymous mode? I just don't feel like this is something that should've been lost for all players because of a possibly loud minority.

The devs have actual data from the test they ran where they hid it for some players and not for others that the group with hidden prestiges dodges less lobbies. They also know and BHVR people have posted on this very forum that dodging can hurt matchmaking quality.

They should not make it optional. Someone that'd dodge a P100 will likely just assume anyone with hidden prestige = P100 by default.

Lobby dodging due to prestige was not a loud minority; there were a substantial amount of players doing it. Killers would leave if they saw P100’s, and potential teammates would leave if their fellow survivors prestige levels were not on par with what they deemed acceptable. The crazy thing is, a lot of P100 survivors are actually bad at the game. And I don’t mean bad as in looping, but bad decision making and lack of game sense for someone who has been playing that long.

Red Ranks were a better flex and badge of honor, because it told everyone you knew what the hell you were doing. It was a better measurement and testament to how well you played the game.

Unfortunately it's a classic "because of bad actors we can't have nice things" situation.

Prestige in lobbies causes more negative consequences than positive ones, so has to stay removed.

I remember a certain characters cosmetics being removed due to these "bad actors".

I know the exact ones you mean... that cosmetic was such a cool idea thrown in the trash cause of mean spirited jerks trying (and succeeding) to get a rise out of people.

Thankfully the same didn't work for the Unknown... but they tried 😒
