Blight in 2v8 is certainly a choice...

Idk why you would choose him of all killers, sort of just confirms he's the favorite of the devs. Unless you drastically reduce how many rushes he gets he's going to make 2v8 a nightmare.

I mean the main reason why most killers in 2vs8 were strong enough to win were that they got a huge buff in some form. As long as they don't overbuff him it should be fine I think.

We'll see, I don't think that they'd want to make a mistake in a mode that so many people liked. They will probably prefer to make him to weak instead of to strong if they have to choose.

it seems like for the most part killer advantages like wraiths group stealth has been moved to classes, and with 8 targets he is going to have to do a lot more work, no iri addons either then again… Nurse did get 3 blinks so lmfao

I also had the same feeling/thought when I first knew about it during the dev stream but I guess he will get nerfed just like Billy for this mode.

Blight has a cooldown on his power, he can't just go on an 8 man slugging spree and win the game single handed because he has to recover in between. The only times killers felt strong in 2vs8 was when survivors played like goobers, which is a problem in 1vs4 and now you have double the chances to get goobers… but I actually felt like if survivors didn't clown around, it was very tough for the killers to win.

I can see the logic behind why Billy was changed, because Billy has no cooldown to his power, he can just keep revving until he lands a hit. If you combine that with another killer cutting you off so you can't effectively loop Billy, then his power becomes oppressive, but in the same breathe thats 2 killers focusing down 1 player, it's not really much different in practise to just getting 1-2 punched by Wraith/Trapper. In fact you culd argue that the second killer actually helps, because you can eat an M1 to clip through the killer and use them as a meat shield to sprint away from Billy's chainsaw…

I think tbh the killers with high down potential like Hillbilly, Nurse, Blight, Spirit just need to be brought in as is, and then just have weaker team powers if they are too strong. Killers that are less lethal and can be hurt by survivors body blocking and ganging up on them, give them stronger team powers to compensate.

However since BHVR have gone the direction they've gone, I don't think Blight will be more problematic that anything else jsut cause his cooldown will be felt much more vs. more survivors. I am intrigued by the killer classes… I wonder if Billy is gonna have his normal play brought back if he is the "aggressive" class…

Or, hear me out, they added Blight because his ability is running.

He's a simple killer to add. As much as I'd love seeing a 2v8 iteration in Singularity, good ######### luck to me for at least another year.

Plague, Wesker, Nemesis, Singularity, Freddy, Dredge, these are complex killers to add.

Of course they just chose the speedy boy.

Yeah, I am not planning to play anything else in 2v8. Maybe Spirit…

Especially when I will get slowed and annoyed with picking up survivors, there is no way anyone can get me to play Trapper, or Wraith there.

We will see how much their feature will help against slugging. So far their changes give me reasons to do it instead.

Well, they wanted to make mode more fun for survivors and less for killers. This definetly does the job.

You're actually not far wrong with that.

We don't favour particular killers, it's most definitely not about favouritism. Some killers are a lot easier to adjust into the mode than others - Blight for the most part is one of those killers, not too much needs to be adjusted. Same as with Spirit, they have a pretty straightforward power that makes implementation quicker into the mode.

We're running this pretty quickly after the last 2v8 mode, and have made some adaptations - there will be further iterations in the future, that encorporates more killers, at least that's the current plan.

Are we allowed to get any hints on how many Killers you guys want to add over the course of a year?

Kinda disappointed hag is gonna have to wait a little longer before she’s playable in 2v8 but I guess it’s understandable when her power isn’t as straight forward as some of the others. 😕 Wonder if we’ll see any licensed killers added eventually, Pig and Myers would seem tame for 2v8.

To be fair just because hes strong in 1v4 doesnt mean he will dominate in 2v8. Trapper of all killers seemed more useful than wraith

Huntress was and is much, much stronger than Blight in a 2v8 mode. Blight has cooldowns between rushing and can actually be slowed / stopped by pallets. Huntress is just a complete wrecking ball when you have double the targets and the ability to do damage from halfway across the map.

True, Huntress was really a menace with the aura hatchets combined with the fact that your teammate can flush out survivors into the open.
