Boardgame Update

Added 4 expansions since the game came out.

• The Unbroken expansion adds 5 new killers and survivors including Oni, Deathslinger, Yui, Felix and more.
• The Gatekeeper expansion that adds another 5 killers and survivors including the Huntress, Legion, Kate and David.
• The Deluxe Upgrade kit, miniature hooks that suspend your survivor minis, miniature gens with pegs to track progress, premium bloodpoint tokens, and a new board featuring the Crotus Prenn Asylum and the Ormand maps.
• And for those with the Collectors Edition, the Malicious Expansion, comes with 4 new survivors, Jonah, Haddie, Mikaela, and Vittorio. 3 new killers, Dredge, Artist, and the Knight, plus two new realms.

Unbroken, Gatekeeper, and Deluxe Upgrade Kit Expansions will be available early 2025 and are available for preorder.

Malicious Expansion is available now.

Haunted by Daylight Event- Event Gameplay and Rewards

Event starts October 17th

The void- This years version is going to expand on the idea of the void realm inside the trials, more engaging and fun, a more central part of the matches.

• How the portals work this time around, one portal will be open at the start of the match and stay open, you can use your void energy collected to spawn more portal up to a total of 4.
• Killer powers now work in the void.
• Killers can now see on their HUD when survivors enter the void realm. Killers still have no TR in the void and hooks are still present which spawn you back to the map like last year.
• Pallets, lockers, and chests are now present in the void.

New void items- The Void Well

Players will spend void energy to create new items or abilities.

For survivors it's a void crystal, it is a tossable item thrown on the ground that released void smoke to help you disappear. (A smoke bomb) Inside that cloud you have no scratch marks and you are harder to see.

For killer the killer can craft a projectile ability called Captured Haunt, a more powerful and impactful version of what haunts were last year. When the Killer activates their haunt it will fly directly ahead of them, injuring survivors and when it disappears causes any nearby survivors to scream, revealing their location.

Event Tome

Earnable outfits for Yun Jin and The Trickster, 6 new skeleton shirts for survivors, 6 new candy weapons for killers, also 3 badges and 3 banners. Cat charm shown but not mentioned.

Daily logins

Login everyday for bloodpoints, rift fragments, or iridescent shards and a 1 time gift of 100 event currency for logging in at any time of the event.

DBD Day

October 18th is DBD day in Japan, and to celebrate there will be a series of in game challenges that will let you earn cosmetics. You will be able to access the DBD Day Challange track through Level 1 of the Haunted by Daylight Event Tome, earning exclusive content for Dwight, Meg, Jake, Claudette, Yui, Adam, Oni and Spirit.

2v8 Returns November 12th to November 26th

2v8 received successful positive reviews and is returning with a few changes.

Three new killers have been added, Deathslinger, Blight, and Spirit. 5 New maps, Dead Dog Saloon, Yamaoka Estate, and 3 other maps from the existing realms.

Killers now have classes, Killers can choose 1 of 4 classes to augment your playstyle, important to note, you can only have 1 of each class two Killers can not choose the same class.

• Shadow, encourages sneaking, blocking escapes, element of surprise.
• Brute, relentless unstoppable.
• Enforcer, finishing off injured survivors.
• Fearmonger, focused on movement, and staying unseen.

Player feedback they are addressing with fixes-

• Fix que times to play killer by improving the survivor experience. Active ability and unlock ability for survivors, unlock is class dependent, Escapist retains self care as their unlock, while the other three classes have their own unique unlock abilities. Active abilities, will charge up by themselves overtime some examples being rebuilding pallets, healing teammates, and boost gen repair speed.

• Fix for slugging to win, once you're in the dying state you can use your active ability to pick yourself up off the ground.
• Fix snowballing to which every time a survivor is hooked the gen repair speed will speed up slightly and every time a gen is done it will decrease.
• Fix for no flashlight/pallet saves, killer's will now have to pickup survivors in order to send them to the cage. (no more quick stomp)

Q&A

Q: Any updates on the new Mori system?

A: Yes, updates and tweaks, to deliver the best version of the feature. The Ivory and Ebony Mori offerings will stay the same, Cypress will be retired and converted to 1 million bp which you can claim by logging in from October 8th - October 17th.

Q: In the Haunted by Daylight Event this year, can survivors heal?

A: Yes they can heal just like in the live game but they cannot heal within the void realm itself, when an injured survivor is in the void realm you will become broken.

Q: Why isn't 2v8 permanent?

A: They are adding more killers, maps, and changes are being made to perfect the mode.

Q: When is the Freddy rework?

A: Planned for 2025 a WIP.

Q: When's the Haunted by Daylight Event?

A: October 17th - November 7th.

Q: If you have the basic edition, can you still use the Malicious Expansion? (board game)

A: Yes, you can, all expansions work with the basic edition. The other three, Unbroken, Gatekeeper and the Upgrade Kit feature material that's included in the Collector's edition, so it might not be beneficial for those owners to also obtain these expansion packs.

Q: How do you choose the names for the tomes?

A: Teamwork. How they want to brand the tome.

Q: Are the void collection skins available for iridescent shard or only auric cells?

A: Last years will be available for shards and new ones are auric cells only.
