Addressing DCers and Hook Suicides
I don't think it's fair that when players disconnect (DC) or intentionally hook suicide, the rest of the team, and the killer, are left dealing with either bots or missing teammates. While I know you can fail skill checks accidentally, failing four in a row is clearly intentional.
My idea is that if players DC or intentionally suicide on hook, they should be locked out from joining another game for as long as the match they left is still ongoing. This way, if all four survivors disconnect at the start of a match, they can't just laugh at the killer while queuing for their next game, leaving the killer to play against four bots. Sadly, some use this tactic as a way to bully the killer, and it needs to be addressed.

I get you want matches to have better integrity with players who actually want to be there, but whoever leaves can just do something else till the the match ends. I could literally just watch videos on another monitor till it's time to go in to another match. I'm not saying I do this, but the punishment doesn't feel as effective as you might think...
However I do think there needs to be an Avoid option, so you won't be placed with the same players again for a period of time. This won't be the same as Block, but the system will just try to avoid whoever unless it seriously impacts match making times. Perhaps you can avoid up to 5 players as a start to see how it goes and this list resets every week, I don't know.

Just remove the DC penalty

please tell me how is this supposed to fix this problem, just please tell me

That would just make things worse. Though at least now survivors would also have to suffer since killers would be free to dc without penalty.
2 -
we even had couple of periods when DC penalties were removed, game was literally unplayable during those periods

The game is just so unbalanced at this point that players no longer want to just get stuck in ruined matches. Its better to just remove the dc penalty so you'll at least have a bot instead of a player that wants to just force hook to die.

my dear brother in Christ, if you are stuck in "unfun" matches way too often, you are suffering from burnout and you need to take a break and eventually find another game to play

Most of the time when I see players dc or hook suicide, the match isn't "ruined", they just got slightly inconvenienced or are facing a killer they don't personally enjoy playing against. That's not a problem of balance, but player mindset.

What exactly does matchmaking have to do with balance. At top level gameplay survivors clearly often have the advantage, with the opposite being true of mid and lower level ratings. But its not a matchmaking issue and if you think it is you're just tunnel visioning into the only think that you could possibly think is wrong.

what exactly does matchmaking have to do with balance? Have you thought about the fact that you easily 4-men escape as a decent survivor team or get an easy 4k as a decent killer player because of how poor current matchmaking is :D

Why are they dc’ing tho? Did you think of that. I dc when I get hit with bs. Example you read that a killer is gonna fake double back and they still hit you in a pallet extremely frustrating.

That's not a matchmaking issue… It's literally impossible to have the perfect skill balance with a game that randomly ques with such a quick level of turnover. But even at the top level's, though survivors have an advantage, killers still average about 2 kills. Even if the game was perfectly balanced that would still happen. The issue is that the game mechanics themselves are just getting more and more chaotic with the player base being unable to keep up.

you don't have proper stats for high skill levels because those matches are played outside DbD matchmaking and are usually held in customs

What exactly are you even saying now? We are not talking about customs, idk what you're talking about. But basically all top level players will que in public lobbies. You've hard sidetracked and are no longer even talking about the issue at hand.

you are the one trying to act like there is such thing as "high MMR" players herewhilt sidetracking here, not me

They can, but at least they are not enjoying the game while i am stuck in one they ruined for me. As it is now, i could also just tab out and watch a movie, but then im also a part of the problem.

And by doing that you ruin the game for 4 other players, while i agree that the pallet stun is BS (I think i made 2 posts about exactly that, with a graphics example. It did not get much support.) But the solution is not to DC, that will not get it fixed. - And i think its only fair that people that do that, have to sit out for at least as long as others have to "suffer" in a ruined game.

First of all, it takes 2 missed skill checks to kill a person on second hook. So if your survivors are missing 4, then they are doing it by accident. Typically survivors will "quit" in some way when a killer is a toxic killer, such as a tunneler, camper, or slugger. If you are one of these, then that is why they are quitting.

None of what you said is toxic. It would be more accurate to say you just don't like when you have to put a little bit of thought into game.

It takes 3 to go from stage 1 to stage 2, but that's not really relevant to my point. Survivors don't need a 'toxic' killer to quit — losing a chase, getting downed too quickly, or even disliking a fellow survivor's perk are just some of the "reasons" they DC. I could write a huge list but thats waste of time. - playing the way you described isn't against any rules, but rage quitting is definitely a reportable offense

It is well known that BHVR does not support slugging, camping, or tunneling… they have spoken out against it. So your response tells me that you probably do at least one of those things.

Can you stop with the lies and accusations?
