Probably a spicy take, but does anyone else really not like Hope?
I know it's a perk that only activates in Endgame, but I still feel like a permanent 7% Haste is a bit much, I play mostly M1 killers and this perk is the bane of my existence, the fact that it can also be stacked with MFT to make you move at Huntress speed if you have Deep Wounds is also just unfair and you cannot convince me that it isn't

I think it's fine balance wise but I don't blame you for not liking it.

Eh, it's whatever. Sucks when you're on an M1 killer though.
3 -
Sucks to be Huntress when it's in play.
But, I think it's not necessary to nerf it. Unlike MfT, you actually have to work for it.

here we go with the complaints

I'd lower it to 6% but no lower than that.

I honestly hate this perk, but I think it's fine. The reason why I hate it, because this perk makes me regret I usually don't tunnel. Like amount of survivors I had which were able run through whole map in endgame and I could do nothing about it makes me sick.
I would make it slightly weaker in endgame, but give it some minor effect during whole game maybe. I suggested to make it 5% in endgame and 7% on 5 seconds after every gen is done. But it's kinda fine where it is.0 -
I think Endgame perks are allowed to be a little busted, they only cone into play right at the last minute, at which point the game has mostly been decided and you're just looking at securing your deserved escape/kill.
Besides, as long as NOED and No Way Out exist...

It's one of those that affects M1's harder than mobility killers, which can definitely be frustrating. But it only activates in the end-game, so it's kinda w/e. It's not gonna make or break a game on its own.
I will say that, fundamentally, Haste effects shouldn't stack, imo. That was part of the reason why MfT became so widely beloathed. Currently, though, MfT + Hope is rather situational, so I don't think it's that pressing of an issue rn.

A cue would be cool, at least. Machine Learning has a tell at the very least so you know you are mega boned.
I could live with Hope if I could spot it immediately and just give that chase up
2 -
It's by far the strongest endgame perk. A survivor just equips it, gets lucky enough to make it to endgame, and boom, 7% faster forever. That makes it almost impossible to catch them depending on the killer, and so if you were planning on coming back at the very end, kiss that goodbye. It's the ultimate "win more" perk.

Hope survivors start glowing and leave behind phantom after-images like they're anime characters.
1 -
They have a special run animation
3 -
Why lower a perk that's end game by 1%? A perk that isn't even meta at that. 😅 I personally think if a survivor made it to the end, they should be allowed to use their 7% faster movement speed. I mean, they're going the whole match with 3 perk slots.
Nerfing it by 1% just seems like an unnecessary nerf to Hope.
3 -
Survivors run with high knees during endgame.
1 -
Hard to say. All perks that give haste should be looked at closely before being released/reworked on both sides. Any little bit of haste can extend or reduce a chase by a few seconds. Hope does however have a pretty big pre-requisite to activate unlike how mft used to be.

Didn't we just have a thread about how endgame perks were fine because you had to sacrifice match-long perk effects for them? And everyone was like "Yeah, 20% extra speed, undetectable and instadown on killers is fine, you're sacrificing early and mid game perks for these effects. People are just being dramatic".
11 -
No, you're completely valid to not like hope but the perk legit does nothing for 9/10 games you use it in unless you're forcing value from it. If the effect wasn't very powerful it would be really bad
2 -
Hope is in a perfect place balance wise imo.

Hope is peak

Here we go…okay take Hope but nerf NOED, Bloodwarden and No Way Out then.
5 -
Yes. I really like Hope, its a fun perk to use.

These ideas are all amazing thanks for the chuckle!

To be fair that was about killer perks and add-ons. It’s different for survivors.
0 -
that was their point. That when it’s about killer stuff everyone is fine with it but when it’s survivors everyone complains it into nerf category. It’s not different it’s hypocritical.
2 -
If you want hope nerfed then remove the haste the killer gains from NOED
0 -
Adrenaline was not enough lmao
0 -
NOED has been nerfed afew times already by being a hex perk that shows it's aura to survivors.
0 -
It's only fair tbh. Y
0 -
Not much of a nerf to be fair, if survivors already have time to cleanse the totem they probably have time to look for it. Noed is strong when theres like 2 survivors left. If you game still has 4 survivors alive then the problem is not the NOED nerf
2 -
I don't have an issue with it. Endgame perks are intended to be powerful.

I'm honestly a little addicted to it as survivor. Hard to get it to procc, but it just feels so nice. Tbh, I don't see very often anymore, so it isn't quite as annoying as when you'd regularly get ran down by a bully squad with it in the old days, but I understand the frustration.

It's disgusting against slower killers otherwise it's fine.
