FRANKLIN + WEAVE

with the new nerf to distortion and by the looks of things it not being reverted back can the devs now please do something about the nightmare that is the combo of Franklin's + weave. Because at this rate you might as well give killers permanent aura reading.

It's a very easy fix, put it on a timer, allow the item to read the auras around it for 2 minutes then it dies.

Or to stop the combo it self, don't allow weave to activate if the item is forcefully dropped or has durability. As the perk weave itself only activates (without Franklins) is when the item is fully depleted.

I do once my item is fully depleted but if I'm using my item its a pain in the back side to play agasint XD,

With that logic, I might as well not take any items in on the off chance the killer is running the combo. At least before I had distortion to help fight agasint it

just put your item in the corner of the map and now the killer plays with 2 perks versus 16

To be fair, try coordinating that in SoloQ.

Imo all it would need is to reveal the item's aura when within a certain radius(in some maps it's basically impossible to find the item).

the perk combo is not a problem.

soloq is not excuse for playing bad. balancing around the player playing bad leads to every killer perk being as good as styptic touch.

Bruh, try finding the item in the Swamp or in Red Forest where you can't see the ground (or if the item downright sinks in the ground if on uneven ground). We're past the point of "skill issue".

I never said that the perk should be nuked from orbit like the devs are fond of (Distortion, Ultimate Weapon, Ruin, CoB etc.), I merely said that within a certain radius (small enough that the Survivor's aura will be revealed nonetheless) the item should be highlighted white.

it's a perk called… plundere instinct. that being said, i would prefer that change over any modification of the perk's potency[power-level/reward].

YES RUN A PERK ALL THE TIME TO COUNTER THAT SETUP…. serious you are trolling hard to defend a terrible combo that needs to be toned done.

From someone who ends up playing janitor every single time I encounter this combo as I have to go move all of my team's items into the corners of the map:

    Heck you.

Don't worry, it's getting nerfed in 1 month.

Killers have just stopped using that combo on my survivor games, people did seem to adapt already and the combo doesnt seem to be a problem anymore.

If its your item that goes down, pick it again later and leave it on a corner.

If its a teammate's item they should do it. If they dont, then its not the perk's problem but your teammate's. If you still wanna get the item, just after you reach the radius and you know its a full circle, is not that hard to locate the item inside the radius.

I dont know, i can count the times that combo ######### me and my team with one hand's fingers.

because you don't need plundere instinct to counter the perk. the perk doesn't need changing. half the time, it seriously doesn't matter that killer can see your aura. most of killer that can use this perk properly are m1 killer because they're m1 but most killer are m2 killers. So most of killer that use this perk are weaker killer if they decide to use weave. Spirit is one exception where she's m1 killer that uses m2 and can use the perk but Spirit is exception, not the rule.

there is clear cut counter to the perk. either A) don't bring items or B) drop your item in the corner of the map. the perk is design to punish survivors for using item and it does the job well. IF BVHR weaken the reward of the perk, the perk won't do it its job very well. Even in this version, experienced killer don't think it is a strong perk. Like otz doesn't even put in top 20 perks. it is not even A-tier in his mind. I think the perk combo is decent but i don't think it is game-breaking. to me, it is kinda like Enduring & Spirit fury. a perk combo that offers powerful effect for expensive perk cost. that is my opinion on it.

It becomes a crutch to always see the player just like distortion was a crutch for survivors. It rewards lazy gameplay. Do I think its broken ? No but reducing to a proc every X sec would help.

They said Weave will be nerfed next month (November )so I'd wait till then unless something delays it. In the meantime drop your item in a place as out of the way form everyone and it won't be that bad.

    While Weave being nerfed/reworked is already set in stone, people are trying to avoid this perk being nerfed the same way as almost every nerfs in the last year;

    Nerfed into uselessness.

    Or

Nerfed/reworked in a way that keeps it's problematic aspects but makes it bad/very niche outside of that aspect.
