What Was DBD's Best Chapter?
What I mean for "Best Chapter" is not necessary "Strongest Character/Perks" but moreso how polished the content was, the content feeling fair and balanced, and the concepting feeling well thought out.
For me personally, I think All Things Wicked (Unknown and Sable Ward) was the best Chapter BHVR has ever release.
The Unknown is generally good, dare I say leaning towards strong, but still has a lot of room for playing and counterplay on both sides, and their perks feel alright but definitely not strong, just kind of the middle. Sable Ward is an alright Survivor, their perks are decent but not insanely busted, just overall feeling well rounded. Grenville as a map is alright, it has a huge abundance of pallets but a majority of the pallets are weak to supplement that.
The Concept for the All Things Wicked chapter feels well rounded, the teasers we got we interesting, and didnt give us too much information about the chapter but just enough information to hook players in and create hype for the chapter's release.
To me, All Things Wicked felt pretty well rounded upon it's release and honestly sparked back my enjoyment for the game when it came out.
What about you, what do you think is DBD's best chapter?

All Things Wicked for me also.
Sable became the most popular survivor, she has great cosmetics, and really solid perks. The Unknown is probably the definition of a balanced but strong killer, he is very fun to verse, and even scary sometimes also. Also RIP to the Unknown's voice actress. 💔
The Greenville Square map is solid, and I enjoy playing on it, plus it has some gorgeous visuals and little fun additions like the arcade room pallet that activates the pinball machine, it shows how hard the developers put into making it!
I hope there will be more Invocation perks added, Weaving Spiders in my opinion is quite strong in the right hands, I'm curious what other ones they will create in the future.

Definitely all things wicked.
According to nightlight Sable has become the most picked survivor since her release.
Unknown seems to be a popular killer all around. And it seems as if it's inspired confidence in the devs ability to create original killers again. So that could leave to even better things.
Greenville balance is up for debate but i think the main building is very visually appealing5 -
A Nightmare on Elm Street Chapter.
Currently, its content is not very impressive. However, on release it was the best and most unique chapter in Dead by Daylight's history. It came with a perfect killer, an interesting survivor and a nice map.
What they did was extremely accurate to the 2010 ANOES movie. Freddy's power was a perfect fit and, before the nerfs in 1.8.1, was well balanced: fun, unique and viable without completely removing counterplay. Quentin (despite the goblin memes) was meant to look tired, and sleep-deprived, which is necessary for an ANOES survivor. Not to mention the iconic Freddy's claw marks in his P3 skin. Their perks were really cool, especially Freddy's due to his synergy with the endgame.
Even Badham was better! After all there was only one, the problematic variants didn't exist. The map had the layout it was meant to have, and it had (still has, actually) lore details, such as the room Freddy lived in and his claw marks on the house's inner walls.
All of that combined with the fact that the chapter was released during a Halloween event, and if that isn't perfect for a horror icon such as Freddy then I don't know what is.
It is truly unfortunate that all of its content was poorly handled.

I know when you say content you mean like the characters themselves, al though when I think of "best chapter" this is always the first one that comes to mind due to how impactful this update was.
Curtain Call
The Clown himself set a new standard for killers as his animations and design were a lot more polished compared to other killers, and (he was the first killer to have facial expressions!) he had a whole new lobby music that came along side him. Kate herself was received very positively and was one of the most played Survivors back in the day. And al though she isn't as popular today, she's definitely no Haddie.
Then theres the 2.0.0 patch… it marked a new era for DbD. The store was added, pallet vacuums were removed, Dead Hard finally got an animation (as well as a bunch of killers getting new lobby animations!), hit speed boost bug was fixed, emblems had a face lift, characters started with their teachables at level 1, tutorials were added, blood web improvements, characters being able to be purchased with iri shards, and there's probably more that I missed.
It was the biggest update this game's ever had, and Ill never forget the hype surrounding it.5 -
unknown chapter no diff

By player count its resident evil. It was the highest player count in dbd history and nothing came close to it. Since fnaf is the highest liked tweet dbd has it may beat it

It some time, but wesker (Resident Evil: PROJECT W Chapter) was pretty good for me.

But mine is darkness among us cause of snow and 4 killers 1 survivor and i love it

I believe I joined DBD after Curtain Call came out and I played super casually so I didnt pay attention to changes. It was when DBD was free through PS+ and the Scorching Summer BBQ event started.
I still remember my first ever match, I played Trapper on Haddonfield, I was told by a friend that hitting Survivors on hook made the progression bar deplete faster so I just sat in front of the hook and spam swung, I got a lot of hateful messages even after explaining that I was a new player and didnt pick the game back up until after the 5th Year Anniversary had just ended.
Ive heard great things about when Curtain Call came out, I honestly wish I kept playing the game around that time, I missed a lot.

While I wouldn’t say it’s the best, I have to agree that NoES was the one that felt the most special to me. It just felt like a huge new experience.
It’s really sad what happened to Freddy, but it’s also interesting that if you think about it Freddy’s actually had more of an impact on this game than most killers.
He’s one of the main reasons we get a PTB for every chapter now and he’s the reason they are cautious about nerfing every killer after release.
Hopefully he gets some love soon and this chapter can go back to being one of the best!

Wesker, Nemesis, Freddy for me.

Stranger Things is just really perfect to me all around and I'm surprised no one's mentioned it yet.
2 -
I was thinking about saying Stranger Things since overall the content we got was alright.
Might be an unpopular opinion but I think the map plays better than people say it does, I also like how some of the god pallets are one-sided god pallets so depending on how you run the loop you can make it stronger or weaker. Stuff like this makes the loops feel really thought out since DE thought about directionality of loops and the strength (or lack there of) loops.
The perks were decent, they arent amazing but they are decent enough to consider using. I really dont have much to say about them other than that since they are incredibly basic and feel more in line with General/Universal perks in terms of design and strength.
Demogorgon as a Killer is decent. Plenty of room for playing and counterplaying. Pretty much a staple Killer that I often recommend to new players since they feel overall well-rounded and simple enough to understand on a basic level. Demo can put in work and I consider them to be better than people say but Demo is also a victim of powercreep but it still serviceable enough to be more than viable.

Chapter 13 - Stranger Things
Will always hold a soft spot for me, everything about it was perfect. Massive turning point for DbD's future to get bigger licenses in the game and at the time, Netflix was top cow
Honorable mention to Chapter 2 - Halloween
Without this chapter, DbD might have died a long time ago nd this was a kickstart to future licences and opened the door to many possibilities
2 -
Halloween. For the simple fact it gave Dbd it's first major license. And what a license to get. Iconic slasher killer and final girl in Michael and Laurie.
Put Dbd on the map. Eight years later Michael is still one of the most popular killers.

It was the first Resident Evil chapter imo. We had the absolute biggest amount of players in the game, despite it being a nasty performance mess for a couple of patches after.
2 -
I would say Portrait of a Murder. Artist is an excellent killer, her perks are excellent, Jonah is really cool, and his perks are also solid. Whenever someone asks me which chapter they should get first, I recommend this one.
Now if we are talking about vibes and aesthetics, I like Spark of Madness, Roots of Dread, and All Things Wicked.

2018 was probably the best year for dbd, it had some of the most memorable events, lots of great content, and tones of improvements.
And hey, at least you were able to experience part of it :)
2 -
I remember how unique Freddy was.
2 -
So do I, friend.
Though unfortunately I wasn't here for the release of the chapter. I started playing DBD shortly after Legion's release. And still managed to experience an ANOES chapter that was way better than the one we have today.
It is unlikely that Quentin and Badham will receive further changes, but I think there is hope for Freddy.

ALIEN - Hands down!
They added 2 kitties to the game in 1 chapter!
2 -
Resident Evil with Leon, Jill and Nemesis.
1 -
Unknown, Myers or Wesker
1 -
I don't know the chapters name i would say be Myers. BVHRs first licensed chapter that really caused DBD popularity to explode.
1 -
Alien, they knew players liked to tunnel so they added a tunnel power.
0 -
resident evil 1 or the Oni chapter for me.

Alien.

that sudden reveal where they hosted the stream with a countdown and flipped upside down question mark and showed the trailer was one of the most amazing things ive witnessed in my dbd career.
im sad they didnt do the same for Alien trailer, they just silent dropped it (right when I was telling some people alien fits dbd and who were telling me im wrong LMFAO)
