Otz Explains why WGLF was OP
Otz Explains and demonstrates the insane power of Buffed WGLF picking up a survivor insanely fast even faster then a killer could recover from and when paired with MFT brought back the extremely unfun Buckleup FTP combo effect giving the downed and savior both endurance in a new form even more crazy if paired with a medkit for insane speeds

Here we go again, trying to justify something against bad players. Just a clickbait video.

Meanwhile, we have a thread here about another video from the same creator which was called Clickbait.
Really, I like him, but he is doing a lot of Clickbait lately and him saying something is OP or too strong or anything like that is not really the truth.

You mean the luck build video?

Otz isn't the Be All GoTo source for dbd.

I mean this:

He is

Opinions and Chocolate Starfishes... everybody's got them.
Doesn't make Otz the Be All GoTo source. There's others

Idk about "was", barely something changed about it, especially in SWF hands.

No

I mean it would compete with unbreakable, and survivors would have to choose between alturistic anti-slugging or individual one.
Now we are back to a single choice, whith exponential filling the multi floor map niche
1 -
It was nerf, you know? Only one month and the perk was nerf
5 -
you're omitting the fact they made endurance effect available without any requirements to fulfill which is a very huge buff to the perk that it needed in the first place.
before the buff WGLF had half of its effect denied because you couldnt get the activation conditions (saving survivor from killer's grasp, unhooking, taking protection hit which were much harder to accomplish in slugging scenarios). Right now you always have access to it, meaning you can always pick people in killer's face and protect them.
it's insane how people ignore that because they're pissy devs rolled back the second buff. the perk is fully functional now in its niche and it's incredibly good even by itself, we arent even counting more crazy scenarios with stuff like MfT.
7 -
Exactly. 2 steps forward and one step back is still 1 step forward.
8 -
yeah, people really forget about that when it comes to things being nerfed/buffed.
unrelated, but i am almost willing to bet how people will claim that dracula is dead (just like xenomorph was) when they roll back one of his buffs in the next patch, while keeping everything else they've given him intact.

I try all builds to see if content creators are being truthful. So far hens and otz have been very untrustworthy with their builds and killer strengths
1 -
To bad I have deemed it so with my vast power of this thread and so have Devs thats why they have reverted it you can take your salty attitudes elsewhere
1 -
Youre just talking big, thats all. No arguments at all.

I was just pointing that, in only less than one month, this perk got nerf to 100% instead of the 150%
What I was really omitting is that you got three perk from killer and two from survivor who got nerf in less than one month ( Zenshin, Predator, Machine Learning, We gonna live forever and Inner focus)
But, What I CAN'T understand, is, everythime a survivor perk got: Aura reading, gen speed, endurance effect, haste effect, healing speed, Item recovery… People here complain A LOT
They probably get one match from ten, but complain like it's almost everytimes
People are afraid of flashlight, and got , apparently, flashed a lot, and look at the latest stat where it's practicaly never the case
And the other round, People complain about some aura reading perk, and a lot about gen regression for killer, and the "strategic gameplay" (A.K.A slugging, tunneling, …)
Nobody was asking for the nerf of sloppy butcher and all perk/add-on linked to the effect, and for other perks, and saying otherwise is just trying to blind themself
This perk, We gonna live forever, was created to counter the slugging meta who are more important now than before0 -
Otz isn't right every single time, in fact no content creator is.
Everyone needs to reach their own conclusions here.

And you know damn well that these users would be the first ones to say to the people complaining about a killer or killer perk getting nerfed to get over it cause the devs themselves decided the nerfs were needed, the double standards are running rampant in this forum.

It's not overpowered. Like at all. Try this in solo queue and see how well it works. Even with SWF, it is suboptimal to have 2-3 survivors hanging on the killer instead of working gens. It's just one of those things that makes good YouTube content but isn't practical for 99.9% of the player base. Kind of like if you have 4 players with head on and vigil all hang round 3 lockers in close proximity. You can chain together a lot of head on stuns but is it going to win you the game? Nope. You'll just troll the killer for a few minutes then lose.

Honestly, the people who dismiss him without hearing his reasoning and the ones who follow his every word as gospel are like two sides of the same coin.
2 -
That's the highlighted issue. 2 people having this on a team makes it a nightmare for killer, because at any moment if you slug, which you have to do sometimes, a survivor can be picked up real quick WITH Endurance. It's Buckle-Up/For The People all over again, except it's We're Gonna Live Forever/Made For This.
1 -
I hear his reasoning, and it sounds like survivor appeasement most of the time. The amount of times he's called a killer thing, "Disgusting!"... But this time he's finally criticizing a survivor thing, and just look at the backlash. "Who is this person? Why should we listen to him? Agagahaga!"

I'd honestly trade the Endurance for 150% speeds. Survivors making their epic WGLF montages aren't doing Generators.
0 -
That's correct. Killers and their perks have been crucified for less than this. You can certainly spin it. "It just lets you heal faster, and punishes slugging." But they're ignoring the Endurance effect. That effect alone, whatever the activation conditions, is usually always strong because it's an extra health state, or extra distance/time to be waited out. That's not nothing; that's strong.

^^^^
Except most users just use extreme scenarios to rationalize terrible takes, like using a clickbait video where their intent each match is to capture content to support their video.
This perk was easily countered in solo q (aka majority of matches). I brought it often because it was fun to use but it seldom lead to clinching the game. It was either useless because killer didn't slug or it caused me to be inefficient for trying to go for the save and not getting the opportunity. It was fun though when you did pull it off.

Big? I don't need to make an argument cause the devs agreed and changed it your the ones actually talking big lol

Anyone who makes up their mind before they've heard the argument is fool... a title I would give anyone who blindly trusts whatever Otz, or any content creator says. However Otz, Scott and such do tend to have pretty good argumentation and evidence from their own games to back up their points, which is more than a lot of people have.
It's healthy to scrutinise, and as with anything, you should look at the motivations for why something is posted... click bait does unfortunately sell... However I don't think it's that easy to write off the kind of points that Otz makes, for exactly the same reason.... anyone who makes up their mind before hearing the argument is a fool.
There are scenarios and combos where it's possible for a build such as MFT and WGLF to be obnoxious, and it's mostly in the form of SWFs going down under pallets. You only need to distract for a little recovery time and you can absolutely heal in the killers face.
It's the same as the Power Struggle, Flip Flop, Plot Twist combo. Plot Twist under pallet and have a friend nearby so the Killer can't immediately pick up and you get some recovery. You can put the killer in lose/lose scenarios very easily, but this build is pretty dogwater in soloQ.
My personal opinion is the 100-150% is not that big a deal, either for or against. WGLF didn't need the extra 50%, just the condition change was a great buff.
WGLF and MFT It is still abusable at 100% by a SWF going down under pallets, and the extra 50% made it even easier to do.
Conversely the extra 50% didn't really change the perk much for soloQ, there are not suddenly a huge array of new scenarios you can get it off in SoloQ that you can't still get now at 100% most of the time.
Basically the nerf slightly limits SWF and doesn't really change much for soloQ, which is perfectly fine imo.
There is no reason for survivors to be butthurt about it really either way. WGLF is good and fine at 100%.
