Should Devs implement a Endorsement System?
Toxicity is the highest it's ever been it's time Devs combat this by implementing a reputation system where players can endorse to raise a players Rep Rank has 5 ranks. Ranks are visible in lobby's.
Neutral, Noticed, Chosen, Legacy, Entity's Favorite
Players Start at Neutral after you escape or die you can endorse a Survivor or just leave the match. Killers can also be endorsed Killers can Endorse as well, Swfs cannot endorse each other.
Each day a slight Decay will pull your rank back to Neutral get endorsements to prevent from losing your rank.
Rewards
Increasing your rank and maintaining it grants increasing BP and XP multiplier per rank, a unique charm, banner, portrait and finally a universal unique Halo head cosmetic for Survivors who attain Entity's Favorite.

let's be honest if an endorsement system if ever happened in order to receive them as Killer you would literally have to do what the Survivors want. Any Killer who just doesn't follow the made up Survivor rule book would just never recieve an endorsement. High endorsement doesn't necessarily mean nice person either just look at Overwatch 2, , it's just a system people spam click anyone at the end of the game for Battle Pass XP.

Yes, every thumbs up should give a player 1000 iridescent shards.

No, people wouldn't use it correctly and it would be abused. This playerbase can be EXTREMELY toxic.

In that description there is no incentive to endorse anyone, only recieve endorsements, so you would need to get something each time you endorsesomeone . And it doesnt really matter how honorably you play the game, toxic people are toxic because thats their entertainment. More people become toxic because it simply spreads like a virus, without a cure. The only people not manipulated by it are the ones that like to play honorably regardless of the outcome which is rare. So the endorsement system would only ever go to survivors, because even if the killer didnt tunnel, didnt camp, and didnt slug the whole team, most still don't like them because they killed you lol preventing you from doing what u wanted to do for a challenge or something. The only exception being a killer that lets you get hatch or something. And even in the killers perspective there are times when you just have to hit whoevers there and most times they dont like it even if u slugged them there so you technicly didnt tunnel off the hook. Also people who play on swfs would be forced to solo que more often if they cant recieve any endorsements except from the enemy player. Generally the community is alredy too toxic for a possitive gameplay rewards system to have any effect, atleast for all players as a whole.

I dont see killers playing normally receive any of those.

Doesn't have to be every match it can be a very nice surprise if you get the survivor who does respect the killer

What the others said, this type of system will NOT work, period, especially for killers and especially in a PvP game.

You as a killer shrug and move on this isn't a game changing endorsement you can live without it

If I would not get any endorsements, why would I support this system?

So like Leagues Honor system except making it so that more than half of the player base can’t interact with their queued party because you’re restricting SWF honors?
I’d be a bit pissed at such a system not letting me honor my swf teammates, especially if they were the carry.
And even though you can honor the other team in league now, I rarely do or see it happen as I prioritize my team, so if you can only endorse one person, I don’t see it going for Killers at all.
Not to mention who wants to endorse the person causing you strife?
Are players en mass going to suddenly view their games from a holistic perspective?

I see too many ways this suggestion would not work out positively and be open to abuse. SWF could review bomb a solo with them, as well as each and every killer they don't have fun against, and those will add up quickly.
Anyone trying for a challenge/adept with No Mither for example would be down voted into oblivion. So would each and every excellent Blight or Nurse player.

One way of getting around this is to make it so SWF votes count only as a max total of 1 either way, regardless of how many of them voted. Opposing votes cancel, a majority vote either way only grants 1.
I think it would be a good system, if only just the fact down voting would be separate from reporting. Being able to simply say "this guy is a jerk" with thumbs down without actually reporting someone would give someone the chance to vent.
That said, there is of course the issue that survivors will likely not upvote a killer that beat them, and vice versa... so more likely it would probably be something that would have it work for upvotes only.

If it was only positives, like saying GG or not saying anything at all, might work.
