Anti healing meta is great for Autodidact

I love Autodidact. It's even better when the killer brings healing slowdown because it gives me more time for skill checks. I also run it with Solidarity and recently added made for this in case I get caught injured after healing someone. Everytime I take Autodidact out of my healing build, it's just less fun 😔

Yeah. Perks always been great and got buffed to be less punishing for the first stack which is nice. I get people don't like the whole "well it relies on skill checks" but once this perk snowballs it snowballs. After the botany buff its got decent competition now for the "heal anywhere" type of healing perk.

Autodidakt has always been a good perk and I'm so glad people are starting to realise that

Autodidact is quietly GOATed against slugging. You get 2 whole health states of healing worth of skillchecks... and when it comes off... 😋

People sleep on this perk so much because they refuse to move on from their default loadouts.

Survivor entire perk design has unironically been made with "rock paper scissors" mindset where you're meant to bring X perk to counter Y thing and hope the killer doesnt do Z. People cope so hard that it isnt like that instead of going with the flow. Antimeta builds is where survivors thrive in.

Then there are those times where you get zero skillchecks during a heal with it. It almost feels like it decreases your chances of skillchecks at times.

I love all of Adam’s perks cause they are useful. Autodidact is incredibly useful when you need to pop off a quick heal, and pebble is a funny way to divert attention.

I hate that perk ngl, with how killers are are return to hook Andy and tunneling sorry no but I do not wish to take ages to be heal.

I rather botany simply cause it already useful from start to finish and it works for heals on you and teamates even if they on the ground.

Auto do not even work on yourself for self heal speeds. Heck Resurgence buff with a med kit or self care even is enough .

    Good.

If Autodidact worked on self-heals, we'd get a whole new meta centered around it at worst, and an overpowered perk combo at best.

After all, the perk is relying on the volatile nature of skill checks to be good, and was created as an alternative to Botany Knowledge. If you don't like the perk, you're entitled to your opinion.

Btw: Autodidact works whenever you're healing another survivor, it doesn't matter if they're in dying or injured. And Botany Knowledge, while yes, granting speed, cripples your medkit efficiency. At least Autodidact doesn't affect it, so you can be a walking medkit while keeping something for emergencies in your hands.
