2v8 too much info for killers

I really hate this new concept of killers seeing when 2 or more survivors are doing a generator. Already the killers can easily find survivors in this mode by kicking generators. Now, when there are like 4 gens left on the map, its easy for 2 killers to patrol them, and there is no counter because the killers find you as soon as they kick the gen and you cant speed up the gen repair with another survivor because the killer will instantly see which gen is being repaired. This really needs to go in my opinion.
For reference, i play both killer and survivor so i can see both sides of the coin and it really is too easy for killers to see where the survivors are.

The problem is in first version of mod gens pop like flyes. So devs trying to listen both sides. Nerf genrush and let survivors save each other.

Except they made gens fly even faster now thanks to their approach to gen speed balance with hooks and gen pops.

On top of that they reduced the gen vision sight range for killers, gave survivors much better tools to last longer and gave killers 30 sec cooldown on their ''perks''.

Any killer that has no mobility like Trapper and Deathslinger are deadweight in this mode. Only killers with mobility can try do something but even then once they get bunch of hooks the gens start flying like crazy because everyone stacks for fast gen repair and almost all gens can be repaired by 3 people plus toolboxes that can be discovered in chests. This is honestly everything wrong in previous 2v8 multiplied by 10.

The cherry on the cake is the same 10 min+ wait time for killers. Devs didn't understand what makes this mode so attractive in the first place.

Wait they still that long? Guess i happy to find a match in 5 min.

    They sadly are.

They offer 350 - 400% of BP for survivor role but people still prefer to play as killer mostly because the entire concept of this mode is to hunt survivors with a team mate.

What devs had to do here is to replace the BP incentive with Shards, maybe an extra increased XP gain progression towards rift / player profile on top of that. Survivor players would be have more incentive to play in this mode and wait times would be significantly shorter.

I can see that i get most responses from killers here. I guess you havent had many matches as surviors. I have had at least 12 matches today, and killers dominated 10 of them. As soon as 2 people tried doing the same gen, the killers descended on the location like vultures. If it was a few survivors with 2 or 1 gen left, the killers had no issue choosing few gens to patrol and there way no way to finish them. I tried doing one, got about 1/4th done and the killer came back, kicked the gen, ran after me, i managed to shook him thanks to escapist and he lost me and i was back on the gen in about 20 seconds and all the progress was lost on it, From 1 damn kick. Now do tell me how 3 or 4 survivors are supposed to do these 2 gens with killers patrolling them and you get to do as much as 1/4 of the gen during the time it takes them to come back, kick it and nullify all the progress made?

Well. I mean. This information isn't in a vacuum.

This mechanic is actively incentivizing survivors to split up on gens, which means they genrush faster by being less likely to consolidate on a gen wherein the Killer can interrupt multiple survivors at once instead of only one (with the rest doing gens).

So while this might seem like it's to prevent genrush, it actually promotes it, lol, since survivors can learn about that mechanic.

It's just like how the shroud offerings are inverse in effectiveness: Killer wants the Survivors to start bundled up, so they either are hit with a repair speed penalty on a single gen, or they spend more time moving to different gens. And Survivors want to spawn apart from one another so they can mitigate the repair speed penalty as they navigate to the nearest gen to them (as they didn't spawn near another survivor).

    Shoulda been something like:

    • Caging a Survivor empowers your next Break Action on a generator, regressing it by an additional 10%
    • Upon being Caged, the Aura of a generator is revealed to that survivor, they can interact with that generator to reduce the needed repairs by 10%

problem? I get that 2v8 isnt the sweat mode but it has and always will be stronger to split up on gens in every mode. Split up and profit, there should be no issue unless your running guide

survivors should be splitting up on gens to begin with..

Killers dont get basic nowhere to hide anymore. You have to use a certain class I believe. I think the range was shortened too.

Actually they do, all of the classes. Some classes have longer range of revealing survivors.

Oh? I didn't know that. I wasn't getting any value from that in my matches and I have been kicking gens non stop. Ill keep it in mind though.

The problem is not splitting up at the start of the game. The problem is when there is only like 4 survivors left with several gens to be done. You can either hide, or rush through the gen with teammates, however as soon as you try the latter, killers see you. There is no way to win if there is 4 people left with no progress on the last 2 needed gens, definitely a no win if everybody has 1-2 hook states. This seeing gens being repaired by 2 or more is okay when all the survivors are alive, but when 4 or more survivors are out, it should be disabled for the rest of the match. If you are not in a call with your teammates, then it is impossible to coordinate enough to distract the killers from patrolling the last few gens while someone is trying to finish them. The point still stands, killers have too much info on survivors throughout the whole game. Honestly, im done playing survivor for today and gonna go as a killer too. If i cant even get 30k+ bp from a game with the bonuses included, its more lucrative to harass the survivors. And yes, most of the games i have gotten less than 30k bp today. Only 2 times i got more and 1 of those was also a loss. Out of 14 games, only 1 survivor has made out in about 8 matches (hatch), 1 where all escaped, and 5 where no one made it out. If killers are supposed to win 60% of the time, then this looks more like they win 95% of the time from my personal experience. Now if truly so many games are lost, i would start thinking that maybe I suck big time, but 13 games out of 14, the exit gates werent even open, and there are 7 other players in the game other than me.

Here is a part from the dev update of 2v8

    Refresher: Base Killer Effects

    • [RETURNING] Damaging a generator reveals the auras of Survivors within 20 meters for 5 seconds.
    • [RETURNING] When starting a chase with a Survivor, reveal their aura to the other Killer for 5 seconds. This aura is removed if the other Killer enters a 16 meter radius of the Survivor.
    • [RETURNING] When a generator is completed, Survivors with no cage states are revealed to both Killers for 10 seconds.

I already hate the aura again.

Huntress snipes and hiding pointless when the killer just sees you.
