2v8 Gen speed

So I totally understand the purpose of the gen speed boost and regression, and i support that. However, I think the math is off and is way too punishing for the killers. The gen speed boost per cage stage is pretty high for the number of survivors it effects. I'm not saying get rid of it, just decrease it a bit.

Nah, queue times for Killer are already torture. Throwing Survivors a bone to make it easier to win in exchange for shorter queue times is a-ok with me.

    They threw the wrong bone.

Instead of BP, they should offer shards and bonus XP & Rift gain for survivors. That way the queue times will be much better.

I don't think the pickup should have been this long either, why not basekit Fire Up? The inherent issue is that wasting more Killer time in this mode creates a situation where, as long as there are a bunch of Guides, gens will still go fast and the catchup mechanic isn't enough to compensate, at all. four people with an 8% progress to everyone stacks TOO HARD to counter the 5% basekit catchup.

Make it 10 gens to complete, make it so you may only have two of a single class per group, or nerf the hell out of Guide. It's the only way to make this fair.

The gen speed increase should be 7.5% for each survivor sacrificed, instead of 2.5% for each cage state.

This way it only kicks in as survivors (who repair the gens) are reduced, and it becomes the catch up mechanic it was meant to be.

With 8 survivors instead of 4, the difference it makes counting cages instead of sacrifices is massive. You can score up to 16 hooks before anyone is sacrificed. That's up to 6 survivors (minus up to 2 in chase) repairing gens 40% faster. Meanwhile there's only 8 gens to repair, not 10. The maximum penalty caps out at 35%, but with that many more survivors it's more likely that they'll have multiple gens on the go at once, so the penalty isn't kicking in soon enough. It's not comparable to the main game.

In regular games these number might work, when you only have 8 hook states to worry about and they cancel out at 4 gens repaired. But it would still be healthier to count sacrifices even then to dissuade tunneling.

All this sweet crying of killers going I can't play without my gen regression is so sweet, Playing with my friends as killer has never been funner.

maybe don't strive for an 8k every match you're going to disappoint yourself.

lil presumptuous my guy. You can make suggestions for balance even if its not making you suffer. I play more survivor than killer these days. Please don't comment unless its gonna be constructive towards the suggestion.
